Woah, it is genuinely very affordable. I was not expecting that. The prices for what you get are 100% justified, and the fact that they seem to actually care about the quality of taste as well speaks volumes.
@@glizzy2236 Small businesses get killed because of large corporations, franchises, and businesses. Simple economics shows that the more capital that you have, the less you can sell something due to research, supply, and marketting. In many other countries, small businesses are the backbone of the community, but here, the abundance of roads, infrastructure, and so much more makes the costs to run a small business skyrocket, and they still are unable to keep up unless they cut corners and raise their own prices as they don't have the resources necessary to compete with big business. All in all, it's a heavy topic of contention but for the LA metropolitan area, I simply can't see how they could possibly make a profit with selling at a lower price. It's dependant on location, where I live here in America, that tart costs about $2.50
If you were in a restaurant you’d be paying $12+ for the strawberry tart, probably $14+ for the cake. For food that high quality those prices are legit
honestly the pastries weren't as expensive as i was expecting. i live in paris and over here the fruit tarts (same style as in the video) are usually at least 4 euros at your average bakery nowadays (inflation lol). them being "only" 2x the price in LA is a bargain compared to places like erewhon lol
I usually hate on LA anything but this place seems like they genuinely put a lot of work into their craft. 3$ is kinda nuts for a single chocolate but at least it was really good
The chocolates are quite pricey but the lavander cake is honestly pretty fair. I live in Nebraska and $8.50 is about the cost of a fancy cake about that size.
I'm not gonna lie I thought it was going to be way more expensive. There's a place in NYC called Bibble and Sip, and their little soup dumpling themed pastry was like 15 bucks, just a complete gimmick honestly, at least for that price.
Can I just take a second to show my appreciation for a reviewer that doesn’t go over the top with his reactions, not having to make a loud screech or sarcastic chuckle or dancing
I’ve bought some specialty chocolate truffles for my mom’s birthday before, and they were about the same size an price as the bon-bons in this video ($75 for 25). The flavors were incredible, the appearance was gorgeous, and it was definitely justified for something you’re really ever gonna do once or twice in your life.
I don't even think it's expensive for that amount of decorations. If any thing it's cheap .I thought the bon bons would've been 5/8 dollars and those cakes at lease 15 so I was surprised at the price. And I am not even from or live in LA.
The piping on the tulip cake is so beautiful and perfect - it brings tears to my eyes 😍 I went to browse their menu and WOW was not expecting how reasonable the prices are. Next, please try their $6 creme brulee. I bet its exquisite.
I'm curious to know what will it take to give a 9.5 or anywhere close to a 10. I mean, watching you with some of the dishes, you look extremely pleased, and then you give scores in the 7s and 8s. What will it take?
Just give me a chocolate chip cookie properly baked, you know when it's just the slightest bit charred on the bottom and the edges, and I don't need any other baked item. Well, except for Mom's apple pie.
Please do more of these bougie videos. I subscribed ages ago, bc I enjoy your personality, but frankly most of the food you review I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
The singapore McDonald's review is unjustified, you should have ordered the regular menu item like the mccrispy & double mcspicy. I hope you'll do another one in the future
YOU GOT SCAMMED AT THE FIRST TWO AND HARD in my country there is chocolate like this for like 8 cent and its soo good the chocolate flavour and mango is soo good name is crown chocolate
It's not even a real word. It's slang -- a deliberate corruption of the French word "bourgeois". Therefore, several alternate spellings are common. There's no single correct spelling.
No, can’t do anything with gold or silver flake. Those metals don’t break down so some waste treatment facilities now salvage the metals that they filter. End result, that bit of sparkly may have been sourced from the poo factory

$8.50 for that strawberry tart is in no way justified. It's just insane.
huh?
$3 for a little chocolate, $8.50 for those tarts?
LA prices are insane.
Lol half of America has been brainwashed to believe these are normal prices this is insane

I still dream of the fresh blueberry cheesecake and pumpkin pancakes from Urth Caffe when I flew to LA a few years ago. So. Good.

There was one napoli -style pizza place in SoCal that I remember he gave a 9 point something to (he said it was his current favorite pizza place).
Three dollars for one bonbon?? Heeeelllll no!!
Excellent content 👏👏👏💯 the desserts were absolute masterpieces

Love your vids man! Come to Florida, there’s great food here
Delicious bro 🎉
It looks too pretty to eat. Even the inside of the bakery is like a beautiful art exhibit.
I wonder how I can make some of that at home, esp that lavender cake.

The lavender one I thought was ube. But it looks delicious
We Far East see the value in the novelty. $3 for a lil few bites is worth it if it’s a few time a lifetime thing
AMAZING Korean bakeries in OC. Come to Paris baguette for example

"That'll be $152.45. Cash, card, or Apple pay?"
You know on April fools those white crumbs on that purple cake become blue cheese for the whole day
