If something calls itself an Easter egg does that automatically make it an Easter egg? Or does an Easter egg need to be an Easter egg to be able to call itself an Easter egg? Easter egg.
If something is calling itself an Easter egg without anything else it’s a neat detail that you noticed that was set to a less notable area, otherwise the meaning of ester eggs would be much more broad and less exciting to find
I think the cat is a reference to Schrödinger's cat, the theory that if you put a cat in a box with a poison the cat is both dead and alive until you open the box.
Freeing the cat actually affects the ending cutscene. Normally it's just you, but if you free the cat, you'll be holding one, just like the art on the game's store page.
Another neat thing about it is that talking to someone at the beginning of Talos Principle 2 reveals the version with the cat to be the game's canon ending.
11-25-23 The "UCA" Box is a DOOM Reference. Specifically, the boxes seen in the Originals. In the actual game, it says "UAC", but I've watched enough decino DOOM Videos that it is apparent even with the different letters.
The Talos Principle has one amazing Easter egg that made me play the game. In one of the desert levels, there is a portal 2 Easter egg. It takes a few steps but essentially you target one of the lasers to the moon which slowly starts rotating, revealing the Aperture Science logo. You can also spot Wheatley via a telescope (again requires a few steps to find this).
The Talos Principle Snowman Easter Egg is a Serious Sam reference as well. In The Second Encounter, there's a Winter Village area. As you try to get to it, that specific music plays. (Look for Jingle Bell Brawl.) The village ALSO has snowmen.. With rocket launchers.
In the crew motor fest when your doing the drfit event that has the delorean the announcer will say different back to the future quotes throughout the event
Normally I find some Easter Eggs but this morning my dad told me one. In Teardown, outside your HQ is a cornfield, and by it is a red car which is a reference to the movie Twister
Others have said the green lettered box is a doom reference, but when I first looked at it, I thought it was a metal gear solid reference. The box Snake hides in.
I think that the three plushies around the light is a reference to Irenia Cotner and her two accomplices. It's a murder case where she convinced two men that she was a witch. She would tell them that there was a curse that could only be lifted if they murdered and young woman. It later came to light that Irenia was jealous of the young woman since she had been with Irenias ex.
Theres another serious sam easter egg in The Talos Principle 2. In the museum challenge ruins room behind a gate on the right side you can see Sam through the wall.
The brown box with the green UCA print in The Talos Principle easter egg is a reference to the original 1993 Doom. The UCA is a callback to the UAC that Doomguy was working for. You show it at 6:50
I like that you actually go out and find the Easter eggs yourself rather than use clips of others it is a nice touch, also I think the cardboard box you didn't recognize might be the one used by snake in metal gear solid when he hide in a box but I don't know I don't play that game
Lucretia My Reflection, the name of the mission you have active in the Cyberpunk clip, is the name of a Sisters of Mercy song. Wonder how many other missions in the game have song title names?
For Video Game Easter Eggs/References to other Video Games: In Zombie Army 4's Ragnarok Part 2 DLC during the first "Survive the Ambush" objective, one of the characters, when giving story exposition about the beginning of the universe, says the line "In primordial space, timeless creatures made waves." This is referencing the exact same line from Marathon 2 of the famous Marathon series. (I will keep posting this until it shows up or get some form of acknowledgement, just to be sure.)
Isn't the snowman playing a track from one of the earlier Serious Sam games? Deus Ex also has crowbars, though the stun baton and Dragon's Tooth are still more viable.
Just wanted to say there is a hidden detail in MW3 (2023). When loading into the map rust the location says it is near hotel site bravo which is a reference in the mw2 campaign (2009) when makarov say’s where shepherds is in the the mission “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”
I think the cargo crates in motor fest are a reference to the old school stunt tracks people would build in GTA 5 before they added stunt races officially. I’ve seen countless videos years ago of community made tracks with cargo crates as loops and jumps.
i have a suggestion, theres this game called streets of rouge, in this game your main goal is to get to the final floor and become the new mayor by taking the current mayors hat so depending on how you take the mayors hat, (stealing as a thief, murder, chloroform, etc) the game will have a slightly altered ending also if you beat the game without any means of speaking you will get a special ending for that to
I think I have an Easter egg for robocop, at the beginning when the thug is doing his speech on television, you can see one of his arm tattoo and it looks, I'm pretty sure exactly like the lead singer of Дvatar, Johannes Eckerström
6:51 This could a nod to Duke Nukem as others have stated but I'm more inclined to believe it's a Metal Gear Solid reference as the pixelated text on it reminded me of MGS1. That and I have no idea what the boxes in any of the Duke Nukem games looked like.
3:35 fun fact in Fremantle Western Australia we have one of thses sculptures its pretty cool its a little different as its a little shorter but srill cool.
I think I found an Easter egg in hitman 3 if you were the white shadow outfit and you walk near npcs you get special dialogue people making fun of you being a ninja, on mendoza I heard a NPC say “greetings shinobi” not sure it’s that a reference to Star Wars because I know someone says “greetings kenobi”
ombat master was mentioned in one of the videos. The PS5 controller is nice, but there is "another" esster egg. (I think one refers to the Battlefield series and the other to an animated series).
A Easter egg I just found in Dead Island 2 is that there is a sign behind the green screen before you enter the studio that says praemum which is in the same font but it is red instead of blue under an area that has star store😂
That isn't even the best Easter Egg in Talos Principle area C-3! After you finish everything in that level, including getting the star, go to the level "Big Stairs, Little Stairs", go straight ahead of the entrance and to the cliff edge on the right of the blue laser emitter and jump down carefully to reach a cave with a jetpack! That isn't even the end of it, as there is another cave that you can only reach with the jetpack below the long bridge in the area that will require a bit of puzzle solving to get fully into. The reward for all the effort to get in there is a little underwhelming, but it is just fun to work your way down there in the first place!
The call of duty warzone one with the fish that become the ghost mask can and probably is a reference to the fish physics of Call of Duty Ghosts' advertising
If u go to the island with the lighthouse in the crew motorfest u can find a newspaper with the headline cupcake outrage and picture of a cupcake at the frontdoor
I don’t know if you’ve ever watch lost the tv series but you missed out the debris of the lost crashed plane located at Mokulē'ia Beach in the crew motorfest
Not sure if you have done this one in a video before but in river city girls 1 the first shop that the come across well the shopkeeper is one of the playable characters in River city girls 2 (you can find the shop in downtown) Btw I love Ur vids so keep up the good work
If something calls itself an Easter egg does that automatically make it an Easter egg? Or does an Easter egg need to be an Easter egg to be able to call itself an Easter egg? Easter egg.
its an easter egg if calls itself as an seater egg
Do you do Easter eggs for fortnite or since it's such a massive game you don't do it
If something is calling itself an Easter egg without anything else it’s a neat detail that you noticed that was set to a less notable area, otherwise the meaning of ester eggs would be much more broad and less exciting to find
@@Earlierfourthere was a Fortnite Easter egg in the last video haha
You need a Oscar for that speech. Quote of the year 😮
I think the cat is a reference to Schrödinger's cat, the theory that if you put a cat in a box with a poison the cat is both dead and alive until you open the box.
Also, this cat's name is Milton and he is mentioned in Talos Principle 2.
my head went immediately to postal 2 and its usage of cats..... as suppressors, so yeah.... i think i need some professional help
The cat is a reference to the cover art of the first game.
I was just about to mention that.
Freeing the cat actually affects the ending cutscene. Normally it's just you, but if you free the cat, you'll be holding one, just like the art on the game's store page.
oooooh
Schrödinger’s cat was the reference. It was in a box with poison. It is both dead and alive until the box is opened.
Another neat thing about it is that talking to someone at the beginning of Talos Principle 2 reveals the version with the cat to be the game's canon ending.

The "UCA" Box is a DOOM Reference. Specifically, the boxes seen in the Originals. In the actual game, it says "UAC", but I've watched enough decino DOOM Videos that it is apparent even with the different letters.
Just coming in here to post the same. Spot on!
Me too. Took me back to my young adult years
i was coming here to do the same!
The last box is one of the boxes from MGS1 as well.
No, you're wrong.
One thing you missed about the crowbar reference. The crowbar is named "CRObar" which references the game studio that made the game "Croteam".
They didn’t make the game. They’re the modders who made black mes a
@@goldenfiberwheat238That's Crowbar Collective, dude.

6:50 The UCA Box is a og Doom reference. The Company is actually called UAC but the Logo is the same.
The Talos Principle has one amazing Easter egg that made me play the game.

The talos principle the room of boxes the one at 6:49 is the same one that you pick up at 5:00.
The Talos Principle cat easter also unlocks an alternate ending cutscene where your character is holding a cat
the box at 6:51 is from classic doom I think
Indeed, only the order of the letters are wrong. It says UCA instead of UAC.
In the crew motor fest when your doing the drfit event that has the delorean the announcer will say different back to the future quotes throughout the event
So that is why the 'Fish Ai' was so expensive to develop from previous games. They finally made use of it :P
The UCA crate is from doom 1 or 2 I think.
(Also, the cat in the serious Sam box could be a reference to Schrödinger.)
I definitely think that cardboard box is just a cardboard box-in Snake’s voice-

Glad I read comments. I assumed it was from Metal Gear Solid. Reminds me of the box you hide in.
For your next video game detail I found that in MW3 pipes make noise when close to them as if they have water currently running through them
The second box you didn't recognize in the Talos Principle I'm pretty sure is from Doom 1 and Doom II.
We have a rainbow shipping container sculpture thing in Perth, Australia, i doubt it’s got to do with that, but it made me think of it 🤷🏼♀️
The UCA crate at 6:50 is doom 2, the UAC crates from a few levels.
The box on 6:51 on Talos Principal is the UCA (Union Aerospace Corporation) box of the game Original Doom game
I like that you actually go out and find the Easter eggs yourself rather than use clips of others it is a nice touch, also I think the cardboard box you didn't recognize might be the one used by snake in metal gear solid when he hide in a box but I don't know I don't play that game
On the rust map in MW3 you can find sheperd's skull with a knife still stuck to it courtesy of soap.
Lucretia My Reflection, the name of the mission you have active in the Cyberpunk clip, is the name of a Sisters of Mercy song.

Isn't the snowman playing a track from one of the earlier Serious Sam games?
Deus Ex also has crowbars, though the stun baton and Dragon's Tooth are still more viable.
The last box you didn't know about that had UCA and 3 down the bottom right corner of the box is from the Classic Doom Series.

In one of the cities in ATS you can find a sign that announces a game between ATS and ETS2.
Absolutely tragic that there’s not a Crash Bandicoot box in the Talos Principle Easter egg…
Apparently you can find Shepard head with the knife still in it on the rust map in mw III
The spongebob one might me a multy layered one. Because they're in a souvenir shop it could be directly referencing the spongebob movie.

There's an irl container rainbow in Fremantle, Australia
I can't wait for an autographed polaroid!!!!
6:51, that's the original doom box.

UCA looks like it's for DOOM. That's what a lot of the boxes in the game looks like.

(I think they are making fun of themselves for the fish ai from cod ghosts)
The UCA box directly to the right is from Doom.
6:51 that is a reference to the original doom games...I have like 80 hours in this game it would be concerning if I didn't know that
