Installing the Engine Into the E36

  • After a bunch of work to the M52 (which I guess is now like a hybrid S50 with the cams) I finally got it installed back into the E36 along with the ZF 5 speed. While installing the engine I also installed the transmission and dropped it all in in one shot. Compared to how this engine looked when I removed it it's looking much cleaner. In addition, all the leaks have been addressed and the lubrication system has been upgraded with a baffle, pickup tube, and safety wired oil pump nut.
    While installing the engine I also installed the upgraded Revshift 95A durometer engine mounts and transmission mounts. All in all, major progress was made in getting the E36 back on the road and better than it was before. Really starting to get excited to see how this car performs and drives now.
