Soty! The End of this video struck me! I had this conversation with my mum and she said certain things that happened to her while growing up, it’s what she tried to correct with us, she went to school in marriage, infact when I was already in primary school, it wasn’t easy on her and she made sure we all finished school and got jobs before we brought husbands. I will watch this video over again because there are some areas I need to relax on!. Thank you so much ❤

It is also called, Helicopter parenting. It is trauma related.
I watched someone on Tiktok say, she ended up in therapy because her parents were too good. Lol. Another added her parents are so peaceful, she wonders how she will be able to resolve conflicts if she gets married because she doesn't see her parents quarrel.😊
What I took out is, don't over stretch yourself fellow mothers, relax, no matter what you do, there may be faults found. Don't be negligent but do what you can and take enough rest.
Thank you Sotee for sharing ❤

Listening to you talk I have realized i am not as bad as my husband try to make it seem sometimes. See! I am of the opinion that when i have warned a child concerning a particular act and s/he later gets the reward for not listening they will definitely learn. There was a time my children were playing with mattress and it fell on them after warning them severally, my husband still was like what if it had fell on their neck or one thing... I quite get the message he was trying to pass but I am also not that woman that want to die of hypertension because I am trying to oversee the kids. I have never in anyway try to compete to the position of the best mother. I do what I can to the glory of God and the one wey pass me, I report it to God because both myself and them na pikin we be in His hands. May the Lord help us all to raise a God fearing generation in Jesus name.
Thank you Sotee for taking your time to share this with us all.

...somethings will still happen regardless of how much you try to control. All we need to do is to keep praying for our kids👍😊

It's really exciting to see Dads involved in the lives of the kids. Like growing up my Dad was toooooooo hands on. He is the one who taught me how to cook, clean, wash clothes etc because he was staying in another city during apartheid regime in SA and me and my older sister had to go and stay with him and when we visit Mum, she was shocked at 8 years I was able to cook her a delicious decent meal

I think we need to get to a point where we as parents realize that raising your children has to be personalized to suit you and your situation. We can learn from observing other parents but try not to think that you must emulate every thing they do.

There was this guy in my neighbourhood before I moved to Johannesburg and he watched as I was reprimanding my eldest son when he was young to stop what he was doing and when he cried I hug and said I'm sorry and this guy said...do you know mothers you are confusing your kids in the sense that one minute you say don't do this and the next you hug and kiss them and apologize as if you are the one at fault....As much we love them we are really doing too much

My parents insulted me so much that I didn’t have any confidence in myself. I have three kids now and it doesn’t matter what they do, I never insult any part of their body

I can't agree less plus there are lots of contradicting materials and approach to parenting these. I call it overload of information. I was thinking about it a few days ago too. You look good Counsel🎉

Your nails are popping!! This new age mothers are definitely up against so many negative factors that will make the children they raise much much worse in the future than the generations before! Really sad. My opinions too
