liked the video, very informative Unfortunately Im from UK where your UHF CB frequencies are actually 425Mhz / 70cm radio ham band, our CB radio is 11m band, 27Mhz, with a 4 mile transmit range. CB radio in UK does not need a license where as HAM frequencies do. My family generally run in a convoy of 4 vans, and run HAM radio on either 2M or 70cm, none of us have a license . We never use the radios above 5 watts. UNLESS ... if there is no phone reception and it is an emergency, I will use that radio on 50 watts to get help and risk the prosecution. ...either that or set blaze to the nearest wheat field to attract emergency attention. :-)
Yes here in Oz UHF and 11m 27mhz CB do not require licenses as there are a class license meaning if you buy approved radios the radios comply to the conditions and therefore you don’t need anything further. I also use 2m and 70cm here as I am also a HAM and that, as you say, allows me to run bigger power and 2m tends to go a lot further out bush than anything UHF.
Howdy mate , love the video awsome review , just wondering if you have any tips for me , I’ve just installed one into my bt50 , doing my test run on a handheld uniden like yours , I can Cleary here on the hand held from bt50 , but can’t back from the handheld too car .
Check to make sure that the ctss and dcs is switched OFF on the bt50 radio. Or if it is enabled set the subchannel on the handheld to the same as the car.
They are a good unit but yes the metal surrounding you while in the car limits the range considerably. Make sure you enter the composition if you haven’t already then you can install this Uniden 👍 Thank you for watching and commenting.

Red was once the night vision light colour. Green is the new colour used by the defence force that doest affect night vision.
Looks like a neat little unit that would do the job for most (me included). Enjoying this series, you explain things very well.
Thank you very much, and thanks for watching.

Sound is great. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! 👍
Great Review
Thank you Danny.
I am using a 5w hand held as my car cb the only problem is it’s range, but otherwise it’s very useful.

Nice and compact!
Man it sure is, hope your doing well Zac and thanks for watching!
I am almost worried that if I win the radio that I will have to go to your place to learn how to use the thing.
That’s alright, in the upcoming videos I’ll be going through more of the features so if you do win you’ll be able to just watch back on the videos! 🤪😀
Jeff, what radio do you have in the landcruiser?
I’ve got a heap of different radios in there 🤣 most of them are HAM radios though.
@@JebbreysJibberish Yeah it looked like the NASA control panel in Huston
😂
Hi your sound is bad
had to stop 1/2 through
That’s weird is ok for me. I just checked??
Nothing wrong with the sound so I think that you have a problem at your end.
Thank you for confirming this, I was thinking maybe I’d missed something…
