Great review. I found it better to wet/rinse the paper filter with water (hot or cold works) before adding grounds; otherwise, you definitely get a taste from the filter. You'll also get a better flavor if you let it bloom by wetting the grounds and letting it sit for 30 seconds, empty the coffee from the mug, and then put the reservoir on and pour however much water you need to brew. The lid is a drip tray for the entire brewer and can work a as lid to keep the water/coffee hot as it drip brews.
The lid is designed to be turned over and you place the coffee holder on it (not the tank). Then when you carry it over to the trash there are no drips on the floor.
I bought one a couple of days ago to use in my dorm room and have loved the coffee it makes. I know how to make decent pour overs because of work but this makes it so much easier and faster.
@@AtHomewithLucas I have been using siren’s blend from starbucks with this which I really like! I have a list of some that I wanna try and have been kinda working my way through haha!
Nearly 90 grams of coffee per 336 grams of water, less than 1:4 ratio. Each scoop was 30 grams. Forget about your typical 1:15 ratio. Are you trying to get high? Forget about Jamaica Blue Mountain beans. That Don Pablo stuff must be better than Folgers. The most amusing review. Thanks bro. Can't wait for your cannabis reviews.
“Definitely not going to last as long as a glass one.” No disrespect meant at all BUT, glass can break right? Plastic-not so much. I just don’t understand that conclusion…Also, my guy, the water tank has NEVER come off of mine-just be a little careful, of course it’s going to come off if you knock it around. Just for clarification, you put the entire dripper on the lid-not just the tank, which is explained in the instructions.
Okay, first, thanks for commenting. Second, yes, glass will last longer and function better than plastic when not dropped or cracked. You can clean glass any way you want, and nothing will cause it to warp or damage. But plastic can be damaged by years of putting it in the dishwasher. Not to mention all the flavor benefits of glass over plastic. As for me being careful, yeah, I probably didn't give this thing it's day, but I was not impressed, so it was like get the review finished and move on lol
Not sure how I missed this video, but thankfully the algorithm knew I needed it in my life. As usual, great review Lucas! Love pour over coffee and this reminds me I need to get some good beans asap!
Yes they are great for Evergreen trees. Years ago you could go to Starbucks ask them for coffee pucks and they would give you a large bag full of use coffee. Not sure if they still do that.
Great review, thanks! Does it say if it is BPA free? I would normally click like but I no longer vote on RUclips since they removed the dislike counts. The vote no longer has any weight IMHO. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks but always hit the like because if a video has a lot of views but only a few likes that can mean it's not a great video...so the like button is still important for RUclips 👍😁

Oh that's awesome to hear. Glad you are enjoying it. What coffee do you typically brew with this?

That's cool and I've never had that kind before...will add it to my review list 😀

I bought mine at BB&B and it was boxed the same way, not sealed with tape.
I like it 👍
Awesome 👌 good to know I was just being paranoid lol

Oh that's awesome! Most of the time the algorithm is messing up lol happy you liked it my friend 👍😁
You can use the wet coffee ground for your garden. Let it cool of course.
