No, i am talking about historical fact. The oral tradition passed down to the Orthodox church was the same one in Early Christianity, especially used by the desert fathers. Catholics have the Pope (not tradition), filoque, purgatory, and celibacy is required to be a priest. In Orthodoxy, only monks neet to be celibate.

No it's more plausible, op is correct. Think about it this way. We have organs that hold no purpose. Why would a perfect god have organs that serve no purpose aside from to cause you harm? That isn't perfect, but it WOULD be useful if oh I don't know, prior to us evolving we needed them to eat and do other things.
It's just a shame we created god in the dark ages before we knew we would have medical technology to see these organs which would make these old books contradictory.
Think of it as a video game. You are the game developer, and you made sentient, digital life. You would probably make them in your image, but would need it to make sense for the code. So like we need organs to survive, the digital life would need to be programmed to not fail as soon as it spawned. So as far as we know, God could exist in a plane of reality beyond our knowing.

So for every... existence were no beginning. Therefore isn't a creator needed. But its true. Every time-based existence is caused by something.

Poor people who can't even differentiate scientific proven fact from fiction make me shake my head, I mean I'm never going to meet them again, and in about 70 years I'll just die, and everything will black out into nothingness. The same will happen for them, but at least in their heads they'll imagine going to some magical land with trillions of other people before they die and it'll put them at ease before they fade to nothingness. @Hank This is an interesting point that I have thought about a lot. My response would be that the universe can't be infinite in time because then I would never exist. Infinity by definition is never ending, so if an infinite amount of time had to pass before I existed, I would never exist.

Because if God made us perfect, that means we would not have free will. We could only make the perfect most rational and logical decisions at any given time
But that's not love. Love cannot be built, it can only be chosen. E.g. A chatbot doesn't really love its programmer, no matter what it's programmed to say. Nobody can "make" one love them. If it's forced, then it's not really love. You can compel others to love you, but ultimately it must be their free choice or it doesn't count.
And this is important because in order for God to be God, he must be a God of love. If God transcends 3 dimensions, he must be a perfect infinite being with all the proper characters of infinity. One of the characters of infinity is love. It transcends (or can be expressed and felt beyond) time, space, and matter, therefore love is a characteristic of infinity.
And the only sufficient definition for love is sacrifice. The Biblical God is the only God to sacrifice himself for others. Sacrifice is a seemingly irrational function of life. Humans sacrifice their time and effort for future generations with no benefit to themselves. But without sacrifice, all civilization and all things Godly could not exist.

If God was not just the construct of man, I would indeed prefer to go to the imaginary hell with Jeffery than go to heaven with 'god'. What a shame that the Abrahamic God is a collaboration of facts and dates from pagan gods prior to his existence and implausible if logic is used when looking at the details. I'm not talking about the miracles, I'm talking about the DATES and times alone. Those alone make it impossible. I mean, even ancient people fucking knew that gods couldn't be INFINITELY knowing and powerful, etc., so they had their gods competing with each other. Even the Old Testament assumes that Yahweh is one of many gods. He doesn't say there ARE no other gods, he says 'thou shalt not have other gods before me'. And, of course, science has banished the possibility for MANY of those gods, so when we're left with this miserable gap of unknown that's *_OUT THERE_*, we really only have need of a single one. And personally, not even that one.

The ending of this video is absolutely astounding. I couldn't have imagined a better way to word how gods were created to fill in temporary gaps we later filled in with science and mathematics. Purely beautiful. I am a fan of endings like this. It puts this topic not on a negative level, but on a positive, hopeful level; that we as a species have grown to the level that we can hold our own against the challenges of life without need of childish things.

When I first watched one of these videos years ago when I was a Catholic, I remember not being able to be angry at it because it gave legitimate logical questions that eliminate the necessity for a God. In fact the only thing that made me angry was the fact that I couldn't argue against his arguments because they made sense. It allows me to realize now that its not necessarily the believers fault for refuting undoubtable logic against God, its simply the fact that the idea of not believing scares them. It scared me. But after a 5 year journey of questions and crutical thinking, I found that it was not my choice to become an athiest, it's simply the one that makes the most sense. I was born an athiest. I'll die an athiest.
