Me encanta esta balada, especialmente la última parte. Gracias por tu maravillosa reacción. Qué majestuosas voces y canto, no me canso de ello. La verdad existen muchos grupos crosover pero considero que forestella no tiene igual, ellos acoplan sus v0ces a armonías tan perfectas que llevan a otro mundo ❤❤❤❤ son simplemente maravillosos 👏 💕

Estoy suscrita a un montón de canales sobre ellos (sí, me he vuelto obsesiva,) y por alguna extraña razón, esta canción aún no la había escuchado nunca. This song is an old masterpiece by the master of Korean music, 'Hyun-in'. Many Koreans love this song, but no one has been able to remake it because of its unique atmosphere. (But Forestella did it!)
Surprisingly, Forestella reinterpreted this song as a kind of two-act play. I hope you know how great they were.
Information: 'Silla' is the first unified kingdom that ruled the Korean peninsula from 57 BC to 935 AD.
Part 1:
Ah, Silla Night
"I can hear the bell of Bulguksa Temple."
"Traveler, stop walking."
At the foot of Geumosan Mountain under the quiet moonlight.
Let's sing the song of Silla Night.
Interpretation: A traveler was passing by the foot of Geumosan Mountain in the middle of the night. At that moment, someone's voice called the traveler under the moonlight. It was the ghost (bass).
The ghost stayed here alone for 1,000 years, waiting for someone to tell him his old story.
The three tenors symbolize the traveler (reggiero tenor Jo Min-gyu), the moonlight (countertenor Kang Hyung-ho), and the narrator (dramatic tenor Bae Doo-hoon).
'The traveler' begins by singing the first verse,
'Moonlight' adds delicate harmony as if following the traveler,
The narrator emphasizes the narrative,
and 'The ghost' sounds solemn like 'The Ghost of Don Giovanni'.
This has a similar structure to Schubert's 'Erlkonig'.
Interlude: The moonlight (Kang Hyung-ho) coldly illuminates the ghost's spearhead, and the strings express the sound of drums or horse hooves announcing the start of battle. Now, the ghost's (bass) past story begins.
Part 2:
Ah, Silla's Night
"The old memories of Hwarangdo come to mind vividly."
"The blue river flows and the bell ringing never ends."
Following the place where a thousand years of brilliant history disappeared.
Let's sing the song of Silla's night.
Interpretation: The real identity of the ghost is 'Hwarang' (meaning a man as beautiful as a flower). Hwarang refers to a young and outstanding warrior from a noble family of Silla.
The ghost tells the traveler about the glorious memories of the old Silla kingdom. The traveler listens to the ghost's story for a long time and comforts his loneliness.
* The bell that rings at the temple at night means time (alarm).
'Hwarang' were considered 'idols of war' in Silla society. They were skilled in academics and martial arts, had beautiful appearances, and had strong loyalty. They always fought on the front lines during wars. And sometimes they performed 'impossible missions'.
Hwarang followed very strict rules, one of which was 'never retreat'. So they had a custom of putting on fancy makeup before going into battle. (Because it could be their last battle.)
In Part 2, Forestella likens themselves to ‘Hwarang’. On the ‘battlefield’ called the stage (Tournament Music Contest Show), they are as talented as the ‘Hwarang’ who went into battle, with makeup on and full of solemn determination. (Win or die)
Reinterpreting this legendary song was like taking on an ‘impossible mission’.
They finally succeed in finishing the song (battle) and receiving applause and cheers from the crowd.

I really like your videos! If you like Forestella, I'll recommend other groups that also took part in Phantom Singer.
Crezl: Group with 4 singers of different styles (opera, traditional Korean music, K-pop and musical theater). They came third place in the fourth season (the same as Libelante). I recommend their cover of ¡Corre! by Jesse y Joy.
La Poem: Winning group of the third season. They have some covers on their RUclips channel. They did a kpop mashup for the Golden Disc Awards and I also recommend their cover of Rolling in the Deep.
Ingihyunsang: They were second place on season 1. It's a group with 3 classical singers and one rock singer. Their performances are very dramatic, one of my favorites is Sinful Passion and another is I Surrender.
This is an old trot song made famous by Hyun In. Original song is faster with a bouncy rhythym. More recently covered by Cho Myeong Seop.
