There’s satire and then there’s Saturn 🪐
Me and friends had the exact same idea for a band years ago due to our love of 1990s Eurodance and Trance, music that was clearly taking the piss out of the genre, but done completely with sincerity and out of love for it. One of the ideas was to do a boyband 1990s Trance/Acid House album with dance routines and all in the style of Praga Khan. Sadly life took us on different paths, but It's still a dream of mine to complete when I get the time too. It makes me super happy to see others had a similar idea and we got the amazingness of Confidence Man.
An artist that is doing a similar thing with 1990s Trance now is TDJ, her recent mix SPF Infini 2 is an amazing sincere pisstake.

Got to be honest, never heard of confidence man before Glastonbury 2022. Only stumbled along their performance on iplayer. They are now my new favourite group. What a great performance. I had a smile on my face from start to finish. Going to keep an eye open for some UK gigs now. Music needs small niche groups like these, instead of the shit it's swamped with.

I am absolutely loving the whole new album! Every track is thoroughly enjoyable and makes you just feel like moving. I didn’t think there would be anything better than ‘Confident Music For Confident People’, but ‘Tilt’ is that and more! Between “Relieve The Pressure”, “Holiday” and this song, I don’t think I can say I have a favorite - The whole album is absolute joy!

@@matthewling3816 If only I had that much sway with my words! No, I honestly believe ‘Tilt’ might be one of my top 5 all-time favorite albums now, along with ‘Confident Music For Confident People’. It is very rare for me to enjoy a whole album from start to finish. The fact that Confidence Man has done it not just once, but twice, speaks volumes on their talent and their appeal. They craft music that you just can’t help but feel energized by and upbeat. Between them and Client Liaison, Australia has it going on when it comes to the music scene!
