I had my lung transplant September 30,2022. I was 71 at the time. Recovery was normal for the most part. The End of February 2023 I wasn't feeling good with a cough and fever. Took at test and tested positive for COVID. Called my coordinator and she said to the ER. Was quarantined and spent the week or so in the hospital. All the work I had done was gone. Weak and tired it set me back to a couple weeks out of surgery. Lost my taste & smell and I get brain fog.
It's now August 23, 2 weeks shy of 11 months out. This is the best I have felt in years. Some shortness of breath due to being out of shape. Still no taste or smell and the brain fog comes and goes
Temple Lung Center saved my life. Doctors, Nurses, Nurse coordinator, food service, house keeping everyone where, friendly and very professional. They treated me respect always. I just can say enough good about Temple.🫁
