But the production on double platinum was just far better and the weighty slightly re recorded certain songs and actually came out better
I like this version of Black Diamond a little better than the original studio version, although the original is great too. I just think it sounds better with the intro repeated at the end with a fade out.

I grew up on this album & love these Sean Delaney mixes. Generally brought vocals louder/clearer and same for drums. Apples to oranges maybe but the one you grew up with sticks with ya!
Had this double vinyl gem back when i was a punk ass 8 year old. This album fuckin' cooks though overl6 edited and remixed. Its like some Crank fuck sped up the mixes just to get the damn hits out on the street and out the door
What is different from the original? The vocals sound slightly different but the music is identical. They ruined the ending by tacking the intro on at the end and then fading out.
I know. I didn't really like this mix at all. Peter's lead vocal does sound like it is double tracked and harmonized and plus the coda at 2:46 on the ending does not have the tape speeding down as heard on the original version. I don't like the fade out on this version either. The original version is better.
They double tracked and added harmony vocals to this mix which really sucks on this version. After deadpanning the lyric "there's nothing that you can do" the line "no no" s completely omitted. That's why the original album version is more listenable than this remixed version.
It's kind of a shame that paul Stanley didn't play more duo leads and fills with ace . There's a tribute band " on fire " outstanding group. Rich who's is Paul skips around on his own as it seemed while takin a quick break on stage. Just that little bit of playing around made everything seem even bigger and more full. They all copied their characters practically to the tee but he seems slightly more aggressive slightly and cut added something to the performance
This really is a sad seedy song Kiss just gets no credit for their realistic songs it's all make up its all pyrotechnics it's the constant kicking that they warned that technical of a band musically but I can think of other bands that seemed to have made it very big and get a lot of respect and they won't even never anywhere is near as big as kiss And they still get praise It's just so one sided. It's true Ace and Peter should have became better they should have progressed that is definitely the case they should have they definitely should have but you look at double platinum plus parasite those are their greatest songs and that's pretty much about 2122 great songs how many bands can even say that they had 20 great songs back then yet Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin loewis be led zepplin This lots of other bands from that era the seventies and what a really noted for maybe 23 maybe 4 really good songs 5 good songs and the rest is really nothing yeah it's true A lot of the kiss albums were filled with nothing but songs that really sucked but then there were the great songs on the albums it was it was a record it was an industry wide practice again led zepplin is led zepplin but kiss really can compare itself to the biggest of names and the bigger ones this band never got credit never will get credit and it will always be the Band to kick. They're always accused of having Trivial juvenile songs this is not a juvenile song it's about prostitution that doesn't sound juvenile it sounds Realistic adult Real world content. Most people that kick this band have never listened to the older a great hits like the ones on double platinum and truly Understood the songs. Kiss gets The rush to judgment treatment
