I am crying with laughter. This is the most insane chat I've ever seen on telly, how did I not find it earlier? Sue and Mel are hilarious as a team, it's like sitting down for a drink with three of your best friends, just randomly shouting out observations and making fun of each other
I've seen Mel and Sue separately but this is the first time I've seen them together. They play off each other SO well!

Nic Chauvin No, The American Baking Show failed because it was
drowning in scandal when PH and MV had an affair during the filming of the show which led to the brainless bloke leaving his wife, but then eventually dumped by MV. Everyone was whispering about it in LA, and Jeff foxworthy was left holding the bag. Thank goodness Sue and Mel weren't involved with that disaster.
I don't find them funny. Mel is fun, but Sue does the same shtick over and over. I like Noel and Sandy better.
I've watched this so many times, I just love them. Although as an American, it cracks me up that no one knows what broiling is.

i LOVE Mel - check out her mouth opening WIDE for that drink at 2:27. I thought she was going to take a bite out of the glass when I saw her tongue coming! - Like a kid who has just finished running around, totally exhausted, and has just been handed a refreshing drink from their mum - the gasp and gulp method! Here in America the talk show hosts would never get a guest all liquored up but that's too bad, might make the conversations more interesting
No because the next day the network would be showered with disgust that people were drinking on TV. There's always some twat who has to play moral police for every little thing.
It does seem like British chat show hosts are better at getting their guests to relax. Maybe the booze has something to do with it, or maybe it's just talent. Graham Norton is the king of this.
I love these ladies, especially Mel, but the "guy" they were trying to describe is a huge name in comedy here in the states. Jeff Foxworthy is a household name here.

I haven't seen the American version. I don't know about Jeff Foxworthy doing it. I think Tim Allen would be hilarious. Although, I don't think either one knows a thing about baking. I'll have to look for the American version. It's odd it hasn't come up in my Netflix recommended list.
I still think the original British crew... no one can replace them. I've not finished the series since I got to Mel and Sue leaving. The guys aren't half as good as the girls. Although, they try...

What is A and E in Britain? Here in the USA it typically means 'Arts and Entertainment '...
Their "A and E" stands for Accident and Emergency. It's their version of the Emergency Room. If the doctor's office in England is a surgery, where does one go if they need an operation? That's what I want to know. It's different how they eliminate the word "the" for hospital visits, as in "She's in hospital" or "You need to go to hospital."

mel and sue are fantastic the funniest duo ever on television .... radio... and stage there has never been anyone that could have me rolling the floor with laughter: they are two very very talented people. well I am off for a trip to mars next week a prize I won for being the best looking bloke in the world. on the way back I think I will get dropped off over china to visit my uncle fred after all he is the king there you know, oh I must go my phone is ringing it might be the queen1;.

jeeeeeeeeeeeeezus get em of our screens. They are ALMOST as devoid of purpose as Antondecking.
These two people are SO annoying on GBBO! They have a repetitive obsession with even the slightest sexual innuendo and say inappropriate comments such as "popping Mary's cherry", referring to baking legend Mary Berry... couldn't believe that one. Their nonstop irritating deep-voiced repetitions of "self-saucing" and the word "BAKE" as well as repeated stupid puns of "shoo" referring to choux pastry sound dim-witted. They're constantly bothering the stressed out contestants who are simply trying to focus on their bakes. SO annoying!
