My son is 27 now and when he was a toddler we had a little dog that was his best friend. Watching this almost brings tears to my eyes. Not that anything bad happend. No in the contrary. My son is happy now with his girlfriend. But its just how the time has passed so quickly. The dog is gone but the memory stays and is back alive because of watching this.

The relationship between Kobe and Robert is too cute. As we say in the UK, Kobe's got Robert's back (which means he's always there for Robert.)
While it's clear Kobe is a very gentle dog, please keep them under close supervision until Roberts older and has more understanding. I'm sure you do as you seem very caring and responsible parents and dog owners but all it takes is one poke in the eye for Kobe to turn.
Also take the time to educate Robert that Kobe's eyes and ears are very sensitive and not to pull his ear lobes and poke his eyes!!

That’s exactly the way I learn to walk 70 years ago we had a dog named buddy. Mom said I would get a hold of betty and walk until I let go and I walked on my own and then he died of a rattlesnake bite. My sister and I were playing in the yard and a snake was there. He grabbed the snake and it did it, but he saved us from getting bit. I was just a baby like him. 0:51
That dog is amazing.. the baby squeezes his eye area, his ears etc. He needs to be taught to be gentle with the dog too 😅

Nothing new to me my nans labrador Sally took us all on our first steps we would crawl to her as we held onto her , slowly stand and start to walk with us ,magnificent dogs with babies 👶

I remember when my sister started crawling our Maltese was so pleased, she never left my sister's side for long and the kid could finally move into a different room. It was funny watching the dog try to get my sister to crawl into the lounge room and watch tv with me when my parents had friends over chatting and the dog was bored.

Chessie’s are more suited to this because the little baby fingers can catch the curls and haul themselves up to standing and then hang on a little better to take some steps. Generally females are better with little ones, but Kobe is remarkably calm and gentle. Best wishes and take care.
