    I love this plant. I got one at the corner plant shop and I'm obsessed with it. It started to turn yellow and sad looking, but some synthetic fertilizer healed the yellowing and turned the flowers a brilliant red-purple.

    Very informative. Mine also does let me know it is time for it’s water and it loves water. Almost 2 years old now and nonstop blooms all year. Sometimes it does get a little haircut just to clean her up. I also pick off the darker dying catkins.

    Super useful video! Was wondering why my Chenille started producing less and less catkins. Now it's getting more sunlight and is already starting to grow to be much more healthy! Thank you!

    I have a chenille plant, but I think mine is just a plant and not a tree if thats possible. It grows on my shady porch and does really well. It really likes to vine.

      Could but low light will cause that problem. They like sun.

    I bought one from you guys and its growing like crazy and keeps making lots of bloom spikes but they keep falling off when they get around a inch and a half. Its indoors and always warm. Could low humidity be a issue because I live in Nevada?

    I live in zone 8b and just bought 3 of these beautiful plants, so far everything was fine but today I noticed some brown/black markings on some of the flowers. Could it be because they got wet? Or outside too cold? I noticed it on all 3 plants . Can you burn the flowers if in full sun? I am at a loss.

      If the catkins get wet or watered with cold water they will not do well, will look brown, and will sometimes die. This plant likes full sun. They also need to be above 60 degrees F.

    Oh how I wish I found this several months ago! I got this as a gift several months ago. I live in zone 6 and recently brought it inside. What should I do for it over winter? Do I cut it back? Do I continue weekly liquid fertilizer?

    • @LogeesPlants
      @LogeesPlants  4 года назад +3

      Cease fertilizer and keep in a sunny location. This plant will go into a dormant period during the winter.

      Once per week should be sufficient.
