Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson spent 12 years of his life taking pictures of the fetus Developing in the womb. These incredible photographs were taken with conventional cameras with macro lenses, an endoscope and scanning electron microscope. Nilsson used a magnification of hundreds of thousands and “worked” right in the womb. His first photo of the human fetus was taken in 1965.

Eight weeks.The rapidly-growing embryo is well protected in the foetal sac
10 weeks. The eyelids are semi-shut. They will close completely in a few days
16 weeks.The foetus uses its hands to explore its own body and its surroundings
The skeleton consists mainly of flexible cartridge.A network of blood vessels is visible through the thin skin
18 weeks.Approximately 14 cm.The foetus can now perceive sounds from the outside world
20 weeks.Approximately 20 cm.Woolly hair, known as lanugo, covers the entire head
6 months.The little human is getting ready to leave the uterus.It turns upside down because it will be easier to get out this way

If we could pick and choose and know everything before we chose to remember it it would be great. Say if your about to hear a heated argument between your parents. You might choose to opt out of that. Now that your an adult, you know what it's like, and it's not a good memory to have from when your mom was pregnant with you. If there is another memory where your mom got a promotion or won an award you'd want to remember that as it's joy and a celebration. So you'd remember it and you'd feel the joy for her.

Hey, me too! 26 weeks 1lb 10oz, 36 years ago. I was left to die on a surgical tray, still alive as a nurse passed by and saw me fighting for life. She scooped me up and wrapped me in cellophane, called a different ON/GYN and asked if he wanted to save me. He did. Thankfully my mother was still under and didn't have to go through the heartache and excruciating pain of being awake to hear the news, as I was already eing saved when she came to. When she qent yo yhr hospital they dismissed her saying she's in labor, but finally they agreed, but told her, "Mrs. Cateatfood, you're not having a baby, you're having a miscarriage." Then put her under.
I have 3 babies of my own, no problems from a lack of oxygen or anything despite all "the experts" telling my mother thr horrors she's going to have to face with me in her life- r3t4rdation, never walk, talk, hearing and seeing impaired etc. Nope.
Sadly, im still not enough for my husband 🤣😭💔 But that's ok, as I'm turning my focus back onto Jesus and won't be fighting for my husband any longer; not putting Jesus on thr back burner for a man who so easily hurts, lies, cheats, controls, manipulates, neglects family, pour my all into him only to be disappointed and turned into a crazy, bitter, angry bish. I just wish I had known he "foesn't have the same morals as me", and the type of person he truly is and has hid behind a mask, stealing the identity of his sister's ex bf, before deciding to make a life and babies with him.

I used to love these photos, until I learned that they were taken after miscarriages and abortions. All of these children were already dead. This was the only way at the time that he could get visual images of fetal development in the womb. This is how scientists learn, through studying the deceased. These images are both beautiful and heart breaking.

Can anyone explain to me how this kind of photography inside the body works? I'm particularly curious about the lighting. I imagine it's quite dark in there but the images are well lighted. Do they use some sort of a flash? Because if not, shouldn't a long exposure give out a blurred photo? Thank you in advance for whoever answers 😊

It's a endoscopy where they put a tube down your throat. I'm just not sure how they do it without putting the woman under. I just had one done yesterday for my pancreas and liver, they did a biopsy while in there. It took 20 mins and I feel fine. Crazy what they can do.
