please keep making these videos. They're actually so entertaining. Bring me with you on one of these trips haha. Btw the food looks amazing.
Thanks Jp!
27:26 "be aware of what's around me. Noises and stuff like that". The camera focuses on the background. That was cool.
YES!!!!! Sitting here goin through youtube looking for something good to watch. THANKS CHAD!!
Sweeeet!!!
@@LivingTheVanLife Yep me too
3:24 is such a beautiful shot. The snow with the trees covered and just enough sun light coming thru is plain stunning.
I started watching this video thinking I was seeing some homeless hipster. By the end I have realized that Chad is a Bad. Ass. Dude!!
"Getting out here getting lost, that's when you find yourself" - chad
I know i can't do the things that you do. Thank you for sharing it with us. A little relief from the day to day routine in the now what i call life. Thanks chad.
I just love the fact that you are equipped for almost every situation like, the moment you decided to get the big trees out of the road and you threw on your big boots and took your axe idk why but that looked so cool like.... ah i can’t explain it but anyways keep doing what you are doing you are growing really fast!!!
Yep I’m definitely trying this meal
All of your videos are amazing. "When you are lost out here, that's where you find yourself" wow!
All that work! Take my "thumbs-up", sir. You've earned it!
Probably the best video by far. Never thought i would end up watching all the way to the end.
Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Exactly the same as you, Wonjae Lee. When I saw it was 50 minutes, I knew I'd be doing some fast forwards. Nope not a bit. Excellent video!
@@LivingTheVanLife -- Nice filming job. But this is hardly a survival video. You're in a public campground on Mt Baker. I kinda laughed at that part. If it's the campground I'm thinking of, cell phone service is available. But if you really want to do survival videos, go to the Yukon or Alaska in winter. Because what you are doing here is silliness. And you're only out to make some bucks off of RUclips. So listen up, everyone. This is not a "survival video".
Island Guy Cheers! Thanks for watching!
@@LivingTheVanLife You're welcome. I edited my reply to ad more content.
That place is fantastic ..thanks for showing us your mountain trips you knew what the tree would do..cool. UK.
Wow man, i watched this from start to finish and it felt like 15mins! Looked at it and it was 50 mins! couldn't take my eyes off the screen! Love the clever simplicity of the way you go about stuff, really inspired me. Keep these up dude, top man!
This is the power of will, just imagine how many times he set up the camera, makes the shot, and came back for the camera!!!
Hi Chad, recent subscriber here from Australia. Let me just say that I hate the cold but watching your videos has inspired me to give winter camping a crack. Although our winters are probably like your springs!
We also get quite adventurous in our 2wd kombis so it's great to see you out there.
Cheers from Queensland Australia

Will . . . Who's Will?

At a loss for words to describe how great this is! Thanks for being one of the best outdoor lifestyle channels I've come across!
I appreciate that very much. THANK YOU!
im english and we never see winter like this, maybe well north in the highlands of scotland, but england no.
i'm 70 years old and you certainly get my outdoor juices flowing with your experiences. superb adventure
I'm from north east England and I totally agree with you...I have a campervan but I'd give anything to plonk myself right next to chad for one mad weekend in our campers
We used to get winters like this ...but climate has altered ours.
It was a good idea to make lots to leave out for the squelch that will come by while you sleep.
Been watching your video for almost a year now. Really enjoy watching all your videos.
Love and respect from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Very cool Luke! Thanks for watching! See you on the road sometime!
This isn’t a video. This is a movie. I love watching all of your videos. Inspires me a lot. Thanks for making such awesome content that is an escape from reality. Your quality has gotten so much improvement and that’s awesome.

Now here’s a man with a destiny and intent to get to where he’s going! No tree across the road is gonna stop him 🤗.
Got lot of fire wood
Watched every minute and loved it. One of the very best channels on RUclips
Thanks for watching!
This video summarized everything I want for myself and my future. Not only physically in terms of exploration and travel, but the insight and emotional intelligence you offer. Thank you for inspiring me
When you cleared the road, I kept thinking it was good wood for a fire .
Me too. I wanted just gather it up and stow it away in the van somewhere.
He's surrounded by trees.
@@Hondadctrider Yes bu8t the deadfall is under the snow somewhere...
That’s my thought! 🧐🙄😂
I was too but then I I thought about him saying he can’t fit a chainsaw inside so I kinda understood his actions in that way
Excellent presentation,the food looks beautiful.kudos.🙏🏻🇬🇧
Thanks!
Wow
That drone footage is surreal ! ! !
I am almost speechless.
I literally lived the winter camp life just by watching this video.
Thanks brother for clearin the road! Family and I are headed up Saturday. We camp up there all the time. Great video, as always! Tim.. from Ferndale.
Just one question; would you have cleared those trees?
@@Cyndy101 100 percent!
LOL!
Underrated channel. The cinematography of this channel is far superior to most Hollywood movies. I thoroughly enjoy this channel. I hope you get 2mil subscribers by 2022. Come on world recognise this man properly.
Bigfoot observing him.......
“Which is a reminder, we’re not alone in the woods.”
Bigfoot: Oh crap! He’s discovered me!
Yes! A 51 minute video on a Friday nite is just what I needed!!!!
Yes! Cheers! Thanks for watching!
*chops wood for hours to clear road*
gets to camp
“Where am I gonna find any wood for the fire?”
lol
Yes, I understand that the wood across the road was probably still green but I couldn’t help but laugh at this.
Seriously though, nothing but Love for LTVL, keep it up!
Yeah i didn't get it as well
He spent hours cutting those trees out of the way but still wondering where to find some woods to heat up lmao
Some cable or chain with hooks are pretty handy when it comes to dragging trees.
@@younes-47 The tree has to have been dead for some while for the wood to burn, so the stuff that fell won't burn
@@Sunnbuzz Not necessarily. It's often deadfall.
@@sunnyvalejedi Yes ok that's true :) I was really only referring to the bigger ones we saw him cutting because he was having a hard time they looked "fresh" but maybe I'm wrong
Good job .
Im a new subscriber. Every thing about your video s is great. But the most i love about your work is the way you describe every thing. Your a very possitive guy. I learn a lot from you.
Thank you for all your efforts. Good luck my friend.
When you came across those trees down I said to my self I hope you didn't have to turn back, and by the grace of God you made it through to go on to your travel ,its been amazing watching your videos.till next time 🙋♀️👍❤
I always like your stuff, especially the ones with snow! It's like I feel the warmth being inside the van while it's freezing outside. I like it, even more, now that you mixed it with bushcraft.
Nearly one hour LTVL you made my Friday evening - thanks for all the effort and have a great weekend. Best regards from Germany (no snow so far this year)
Thanks Beavis!
You have my respect for not giving up in face of such a huge obstacles. My man here is a warrior.
These are just so calming to watch that I keep coming back and revisiting when I’m trying to relax😜😂
What a great video, so enjoyable to watch. You capture the emotion of the challenges you faced really well and the relief of reaching your goals and a well earned meal
16:45 I loved the authentic release of laughter when you finally broke your way through that last log. Thanks for sharing!
Epic scenery
SUCH A HANDSOME MAN !!!!!
Sooo rugged.
I LOVE WATCHING HIM !!!!!

Lust is a killer.....relax
Yes, I’m back because I couldn’t resist. This is one of my all time favorite videos.....period. You help me believe that I might be able to actually get out in the great outdoors and have an adventure. And if for some reason I can’t I can experience it with you. You are my favorite van life videographer. You should have a show on the National Geographic Channel.💖
That means a whole lot to hear this! Thank you very VERY much. I really appreciate this.
Living The Van Life 💖
Reminds me of the time I was in my Saturn Vue and went out in the wilderness, ran into 3 downed pines and 5 boulders and moved all with a good knowledge of physics. Like you I was thinking of the pioneers. At the end I felt so accomplished and self sufficient. I was 63 at the time (7 years ago) and still going out to places others say I should not venture being a solo female. I will definitely be getting that saw.
Where your chain saw
You know what I love is that he talks to you like your there with him makes you feel like you have a friend and your chilling with him on his journey 💪💪💯💯💚
Thanks for watching! Cheers!
