@@hi78889 Yes, definitely! I personally don't dress in scene, as I've always been more into the Goth lifestyle. I'm in my 30s, and feel like I found my place dressing in darker colors. Even though I don't dress scene, I still have an appreciation for it, and love seeing the style coming back.
I 100% relate when it comes to getting confused with a scene kid whenever I'm in decora. But I don't hate it, especially because scene kids are so cool. I love this look!

Lemme list them, I'm also kinda new but I'm understanding the idea and principals :> .try to get neon colours into your style, also pairing it up with black colours works really well!! .wear childish type branded clothing, like t shirts with prints of things like my little pony, care Bears, etc. . Wear a lotta statement jewelry!! Wearing a lot of rings or odd necklaces looks rly good. Layer necklaces a lottt .wear a lot of bracelets too! If you can't get the Kandi(I think that's how it's spelt sorry) bracelet beads, just normal ones will do!! . Hair accessories like a ton of hair clips or something like that works really well, especially if the hair clips have emblems on them like rhinestones, flowers, cartoon figures, etc. .wearing small tiara's also is very scene!! .ok so basically what you learned from the above is accessories, accessories, accessories- just wear a ton of them honestly . If you like skirts then try wearing skirts over skinny jeans or patterned leggings, ripped jeans look awesome . You can also pretty easily make a scene style skirt from tulle, I'll try and find the video where I found how to make that .if you're able/allowed to wear makeup, go bold on it!!! The finished look really pops and is so pretty! That being said quick note--OG Emo/Scene kids didn't often do a classic smokey eye with falsies, that was an oldschool Goth or an indie girl thing. The classic first-wave Emo/Scenesters I knew did do heavy black liner (usually pencil or liquid) with a coloured shadow (neon typically) and decals like the ones you've drawn. So I guess yours is an updated take on it xx

This video is so nostalgic for me. I used to be a scene kid in high school minus the hair because I wasn't allowed 😅 I stopped dressing scene for a while and was kind of embarrassed of it because a lot of people told me it was cringe, but now as a 25 year old I've stopped caring what other people say and I'm making kandi again! I love your channel because even though I don't dress decora, I absolutely love your fashion and your vibe and how confident you are to be yourself! I love seeing all these different styles like scene, lolita, decora, etc it's so fun to see how people express themselves through fashion! ❤
I felt the same way in middle school, I would always see the scene kids and they kinda scared me but I always wanted to be like them! Unfortunately I was too afraid to put myself out there at the time and I couldn't get any of the clothes :(

And its the most fun I've ever had with a style :D I get a lot of weird looks in public and sometimes people whisper mean things but I hope bullying doesn't discourage other people from trying it! Pulling out of what I loved because of bullying is the thing I hate the most because I basically let them win :D here's hoping to more scene kids in 2022! Well 2023 now ^^;

You can be both! The main part of Decora fashion is just to be “over” decorated, (Decora can even be used with monochrome colors!!!) so.. it doesn’t really take anything away from the Scene fashion style :3
Idk where you live but where I live sketchers are the same price as converse and vans. They all are about $50 depending on where you buy them and if they are on sale.
