I had been using my Marshall ii anc for 3 years until it’s broken. But today I just bought the BOSE 45, and still miss my old Marshall a lot. The quality of the sound is just fabulous, especially for rock music 😎 However, over all, both of them are way better than Sony already:)
Marshall model is for monitoring the recording as the name itself is. Basically boss and sony are better for travel and daily out commute. Marshall is better for sensitive and serious music listeners, and play it under quiet indoor place only. The anc is not for outdoor. Again for monitor.

I have the NC700 Bose and they are also super comfortable + excellent noise cancellation with superb battery life. Whilst the Marshalls look good, and do everything good(as you say), it's always going to be hard to beat Bose.
I think if you aren't in any rush it might be worth waiting these feel like they are close to being discontinued, stock in Europe is pretty much non existent now and things like replacement earcups are again out of stock direct from Marshall. If they continue this line then the 3's feel fairly imminent; probably with AptX etc. I mostly jumped on them as have a couple of long hauls flights coming up so wanted the ANC; but think the over ear Marshall Majors actually sound quite a lot better for a lot less money. (Have a pair of the Sony 1000xm3 or xm4s but found the ANC much too oppresive on them and they made me want to pop ears after a couple of minutes)
headphone in the airport are all good until they change your flight and you have no idea ...
I agree. But hopefully this is going to be fixed by the upcoming auracast (new kind of bluetooth standard).

The only thing that I really hate of the CQ45 is the cabine pressure!

Noise cancelling headphones monitor the sound around you, preventing the unwanted noise from ever reaching your ears

Wait wah… I got myself some Monitor II and they also have the gap for the ears in the back…
yeah its there but a lot less pronounced than the bose. I found the bose felt much more open.

I have Bose and am considering buying Marshalls however I have slightly larger ears so this might be uncomfortable for me
Yeah the Marshall's run a smidgen smaller but if you really like the style I think its worth it.
Got the Marshalls, they just look better
