It's been a week...(Here is what I sold in an Antique Mall)

Here is an update on how we are doing with our Antique mall display case. I go over the monthly expenses for renting this display case. We also made some sales and I wanted to go over my expectations for this month.

The $75/month is too steep on top of the 10% imo. I was hoping they would charge you $45-$50/month. Congrats on your first week of sales though!

Agreed. You'd have to sell something like $2000 worth of items in a month for it to equal eBay fees.

Yeah. Can’t really make profit like that. Need more expensive items that people actually wants to buy (pokemon, zelda) in order to make profit

Glad you used my suggestion for the top shelf. Another tip I have seen is advertising in your local swap groups and any local retro game groups on Facebook.

Nice work. You could add some video game books and manga to back shelf. They are usually very cheap pickups at the bins.

It will pick up in sales I did the same $40 a week and now $500 a week so just give it some time

Remember to save all the emails, add up all the income minus the cogs and commission, and maybe you'll be able to file it under misc. income. Otherwise, talk to your tax professional at tax time.

im in chicago id reccomend going to a disk replay store i go to the one at countryside plaza or you could go to a half price books aswell theres one close to the disk replay i go to but they charge more for games and media then disk replay does so i wouldnt reccomend that hpb personally

1099? Not a tax expert - but that doesn’t seem right. 1099 are typically for services provided.
