I’ve been checking in Spotify and why aren’t there any new episodes on the amc interview with the vampire podcast. This clip seems to be recent yet nothing of season 2 was covered on the amc Spotify podcast.
But this is a Netflix show or something or is a fan base podcast?

It's a real show that's made by AMC, the same people behind The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. It was also briefly avaliable on HBO Max for the Halloween period. Season Two has just wrapped filming and will be out early next year.

Stick more to the books unlike iWTV. It didn’t really capture the Anne Rice feel. It was ok…

I don't think it was ever the aim to capture the feel of Anne Rice and the books. They may state otherwise, but it's very different. It's a decent reimagining with great production and actors. But it lacks that distinctive Rice quality that we all fell in love with. I've had many disagreements with fans of both the books and the show who love this series, but for me, ultimately, it failed to capture what made the books so great. Sam Reid (Lestat) is the best thing about the show for me. From what I gather, S3 will be a more faithful retelling of The Vampire Lestat than the first two seasons. 🤞🏻

Well I, for one, am excited for EVERYTHING we've got coming our way on this show, if the following seasons are as compelling and entertaining as S1!
