Rocket planes are mostly for hunting DDs with bad AA and lone BBs. They have no health so prioritize damage output with them instead of plane survival. Torpedo bombers are good against cruisers and BBs. Torps are fast and hit hard but wont get much flooding done. Use the heal during your attack run or during your escape. Use the AP bombers for BBs (not the usn bbs) and heavy cruisers.

Having a hard time with what you did in the first couple of minutes. You took a no smoke DD with bad AA and rushed way into the enemy in a CV game. Luckily the GZ didnt pay much attention to it. Cuz it she'd had spotted you you might have been done for. The one thing we actually try to make DDs drivers to understand... Yet shown here perfectly. Nonetheless, the way you dismantled the enemy DDs was nice too look at.
lack of help from the cv on the dd is poor teamplay, when i play cv and anyone is trying to stop a dd going after me I help them no matter what, just good manners

since I played a lot with CVs, I went where GZ could not guess. I used the engine boost for this.

tactics on that Benson was terrible... you don't use torps in such a situation. It's useless and it gives the Benson more time to gun you...
