@@m_zxh_di I flash the ESP8236 with TASMOTA. There is a lot of youtube DIY how to do this. Very easy. Just flash it then look for the IP address for it to open it in a web browser
Thank you for this. I bought a few of these and I'd completely failed to get them to work. Desoldering the 10k R2 (i.e. the resistor closest to the edge of the board, and connecting CH_PD to Vcc did the trick. What I don't understand is how this design ever got past testing since it's broken but at least now I know how to fix it.
I created an Arduino code for ESP-01s and to control it an Android App using firebase. Was trying for two days and now just realized it was a freaking relay issue. Thank you so much.
This should be linked in every aliexpress esp01 relay module! Btw, do you know any way to add a cheap/simple delay circuit to this so the relay connected to gpio0 doesn't get high when rebooted? It sucks that doors/lights pop on randomly and so far the only viable solution for me has been soldering a thin wire to gpio4 and replacing the gpio trace with it...

hi, same problem,. when i connect power, relay does on/off/on/off a few times, before connecting to wifi. Please help
I just found out that when you replace R2 with 27K resistor then it start to boot but relay flickering will go out. you can try hopefully will work also for you.
I am bridging the power from 5V to COM so I don't need two power power sources for the same appliance. It's a 5V USB light. My main issue is that if I connect the power to the device via NO it stays on and NC it stays off but I can hear the relay clicking. so not sure why it isn't working.
After removing resister my ESP01 is warming up and shutting down after working for a minute. Is it just me or others are having the same issue. If others are not having so I will assume it is the CN_EN pull up soldering job must be not good from me and something is shorting.
You can also connect the relay to the RX pin of the esp module which is GPIO3. Then you do NOT have to remove the resistor. You still need to do the jumper to the Enable pin to VCC.

To stop an active LOW relay from flickering on bootup: In setup(), write a HIGH to the pin, before you set the pin to OUTPUT. Like: digitalWrite(relay1Pin, HIGH); pinMode(relay1Pin, OUTPUT); revert if your relay is active on High avoid rx, tx LedBuiltin pins as they usually chatter on boot....

I posted an almost identical mod for the relay boards in May last year. See www.mccrash-racing.co.uk/sc/blog.htm , scroll down to 12/05/2017 They're great for 'Alexa' projects and cost pennies from Banggood.
Your video solved my problem of it not connecting to the wifi. And the removal of R2 I confirm works. Thanks for your time for it is truly appreciated
Mark Roles can you tell me how can i turn the relay on and off though my iPhone? please

Do you use it for Lag Switching in video games ?

who knows, it was version 1.0
maybe it got fixed in the next revision

glad you solved the issue :)
Detailed video, no need for subtitle. Great
Thx for the fix! i bought 20 of those.. was getting crazy here :)
Ótimo amigo, curtido o vídeo e estou escrevendo para agradecer. Meu MUITO OBRIGADO!
I want to inform you that resistors are intertwined. And the video shows that soldered SMD resistor R1 105 and should 202.

sounds like your relay instantly turns on? is it clicking at the right moment or every time you power on the pcb?
Sorry I missed your reply. I ended up fixing it. The jumper wire from from CH_EN to VCC as your demonstrated was the main fix. @@playduino
Thanks for this tip, it worked! ^^

Thank you man !! I had been stuck for three days
thanks a lot, test it and work as charm
Deu certo aqui também, obrigado!
Estou muito feliz em ouvir :)
Thanks Dude! You made my day! 🥰
Спасибо! Thank you!!!!!
thank you so much, i've done it!!
Thank you very much guy !
that worked!
thanks a lot
Where can you buy these with the fix already in place? It would save me a lot of time when I buy scores.
maybe they fix the design some day ...

hi, I will make a video about the software I am using very soon. I think this might help you
To stop an active LOW relay from flickering on bootup:
In setup(), write a HIGH to the pin, before you set the pin to OUTPUT.
Like:
digitalWrite(relay1Pin, HIGH);
pinMode(relay1Pin, OUTPUT);
revert if your relay is active on High

Still after the changes during startup, the relay turns on by itself
could you please share the source code?
and let me know why eliminate r2 and make a chamfer.
if another videos are exist, please let me know the link.
thank you very much!!!
