@@mrseriousv1 The main point is excatly that the waste in this case is the same as the product, which means it doesnt matter how "inefficient" the conversion is because all inefficiencies materialise in the form of the product, heat.
7:22 aren't they held by electrostatic forces? electrons are atracted to both nucleous, making them move thowards the center of both atoms, and nucleous are being atracted to those electrons, making all the atom move thowards each other.
Yes, that is true, and now that I rewatched that segment I realised how unclear I made my point I was trying to compare the energy of electrons to potential gravitational energy to explain how lower energy can mean a stronger bond. It was supposed to be an analogy
I really liked this one, had an interesting opening question and I liked the way you modified the one energy equation to fit every way we think of energy, ultimately showing how that original equation and our idea of energy as a whole is just a model that gets altered to suit our needs. Felt very cohesive, one of my favorites of yours!
I found your channel through your addition to quantum video and you are the perfect science/maths youtuber!!! Your explanations are intuitive, engaging, and easy to follow. thank you for making these videos!
13:12 Energy has to be transfered to actually do work, it always will transfer toward where there is less aka self distribute, without a gradient it won't be transfered.... I guess I'm saying all hail the gradient xD
Energy is the conserved quantity that can be isolated using Noether's theorem over the symmetry of time in the laws of physics. (that is, the laws don't change over time)
Just a thing I've noticed: is the Hermann grid illusuon at 6:19 accidental? (The gray dots apearing on the intersections of the squares in the peripheral)
I enjoy thinking about entropy and energy all the time to a point I start developing methods to transfer enough energy to our earth and "potentially" break it apart LOL.
Same thing I feel with entropy. It's just a "Thing that must be increasing," and we can put different numbers on a mole of this or that reaction, or the expantion of this gas at this temperature, or this or that physical change. It's an idea that is really frustratingly self-referential. How there is this one factor that, for some reason, in the universe we live in, grows, and it stays true for not just one force, but all of them simultaneously. Whether or not there is a physical analogy for entropy underlying it is unknowable.
also didnt realize that energy of a photon is defined by the wavelength only... i mean E=(h/lambda)*c, both h and c are constants and lambda varies by the wavelength... 😵
5:30 great visualization and way of explanation, just wanted to point out you used the word 'proportional' wrongly in some cases, like 'energy of light is proportional to wavelength' and 'kinetic energy is proportional to velocity'
potential energy is funny. most things in the universe can potentially fall into a black hole eventually at one point, and that black hole might just radiate away everything what that object was.
I'm the kind of person who plugs the mass into e=mc^2 into a 9th grade question about total energy in a system, just as a joke, so a video like this is right in my wheelhouse of physics insanity
I read about something -> Can't fully undersand it -> MAKEiT drops new video and clears everything up.
Every time...
Extremely underrated.
Remember kids, the only form of system that has a 100% efficiency rate is a heater
A few years ago I found a few special cases where this actually not true but most ppl would never guess why.
some heat is lost in light so no, not 100% efficient
@@mrseriousv1 the light is unlikely to leave the room though, but good guess
@@CraftyF0X and most heaters are electrical so it might be wasted by the current not fully converting. but I am not an electrical engineer so idk.

I don’t have the energy to watch this video
Booooooooooooooooo
You going watch it
But you had the energy to type this comment?
@@MozzarellaWizardE sub watch + E sub irritation/confusion = E sub comment
@MozzarellaWizard yeah pretty much
Nah you have the capacity to get a PhD within 5 months 😭

this probably one of my favorite videos! very satisfying ending ❤❤❤

we be powering stuff with energy with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️😁🔥
the quality of this man's videos is insane.
"that's why we just made up potential energy" 1:46

Thanks for another great video MAKiT
It's here.
HELL YEAH!!

Could energy be described as "a change in space/timespace"?

The grid in 6:15 and later creates a really cool optical illusion. Got weirded out by that for a sec
that ending tho... keep up! :3

Your videos create a stable system in my brain by giving me enough questions to balance out all of the answers I get.

can you make a music video that music goes so hard
I have to say the ending of this video is better than every anime I've ever seen
