WHAT IS "ULTRAMAN"?:

“ Ultraman (ウルトラマン Urutoraman?) is a Japanese Tokusatsu television series that first aired in 1966. Ultraman is a follow-up to the television series Ultra Q, though not technically a sequel or spin-off. The show was produced by Tsuburaya Productions, and was broadcast on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) from July 17, 1966 to April 9, 1967, with a total of 39 episodes (40, counting the pre-premiere special that aired on July 10, 1966).
Although Ultraman is the first series to feature an Ultra-Crusader, it is actually the secondshow in the Ultra Series. Ultra Q was the first. In fact, Ultraman opens with the Ultra Q logo exploding into the Ultraman logo. Ultraman, and its titular hero, became a major pop culture phenomenon in Japan, spawning dozens of sequels, spin-offs, imitators, parodies and remakes.”

Great video, Ultraman of course is one of the best Ultramen, but his series in my opinion was really great in effects, in terms of some of the future series.

I am 50 , born 7 11 68, the first time seeing ultraman here in Philadelphia pa, USA was about 1974 75, and let me tell you it's still the best 39 or 40 eps of any tv show like this, ultraman to me will always be the best. I wish I could know more about the actors from that show. Every show that came after owes everything to this show, long live ultraman, also I hope they find a reason to bring back the original Actor Hayata

I actually like the name 'hayata' as a canon name given it sounds a little awkward when all the other ultras are called by their last name while Ultraman is simply called 'ultraman' which is what every ultra name starts with..
But why will Ultraman share his name with a guy he killed and merged with. It's an impossible coincidence. But then again, Taro's host is named Kotaro...
