I feel like dream Besties has the potential to be even bigger than Alwayz Bratz in terms of playline sales, because A, Mattel is actually marketing these to kids instead of catering it to 20 year old influencers who have no interest in dolls outside of “childhood nostalgia” like, I’ve yet to see an ACTUAL commercial for Alwayz Bratz that wasn’t a TikTok video. the fact that it’s already been seven months and we STILL haven’t gotten any new Alwayz Bratz dolls is pretty telling.
To me Teresa is the best, I love her face and the makeup under her eyes ! I personnally want to see Midge, and her theme color could be green because green is very lovely on Redhead girls ! Someone also said Raquelle, and we absolutely need her ! I imagine her wearing silver and black, or gold and black !.. I also would love a character with pink hair !...
I've been obsessed with my Besties Brooklyn doll for 3 days. These dolls are really cool I'm glad Mattel is trying. It's like if Barbie Extra and Bratz fused together.

After watching the videos, it seems to me that Mattel is slowly trying to go away from the traditional looking Barbie animation and dolls in order to compete with MGA. I've heard they are planning to make a series 2 with Daisy and Ken. Their biggest mistake will be going away from the traditional Barbie animation and dolls to try to compete with MGA. Stop worrying about trying to compete with MGA ... Barbie has been around for 65 years so Mattel must be doing something right (and with the way MGA is going downhill lately Mattel has nothing to worry about). They should've just called these dolls "dream besties" instead of Barbie.
I got all 4 dolls and I'm finally a Barbara curly!😅💘 But yea the music video faces are low key a weeee bit off lol. But maybe it will be like Monster High music videos vs how they look in the show and hopefully they will look different in the show. Also like for real the Ken is looking kinda hot, he got a tan and everything🤭
They look cute I love the newer barbie shows I grew up with Barbie 2010/2012 and life in the dream house is my nostalgia but I love the newer Barbie shows from 2016 2018 to Now barbie 2015 is meh I remember disliking Spy Sqaud as a kid since 2021 I just Brooklyn by her nickname I know they are both barbie but I just like it that way to Me its Brooklyn and Classic Barbie. Just watched the music/dance videos and honestly they look cute! I can see lots of kids who weren’t Barbie fans before trying to do the moves and making their own fan videos. Mattel clearly didn’t make the videos for Influencers, but for next gen Barbie fans - and I think that’s great!
Its cute but its giving some AI vibes, and 3D is for sure cheaper than 2D so theyre probably gonna stick to this style but with less cool effects cuz you crank it up for music videos (: Im excited tho, i agree with you i hooope they have the same whacky humour that Life in the dreamhouse had!😊❤❤❤

If you plop in 3D Barbie runway dance studio or something similar im sure youre gonna get plenty of options that all look like this musicvideos (:
Their vacant eyes are my sleep paralysis demon 🙃 I wish they'd do simple 2d flash-style animations again. They already have super cute 2D art on their packaging, so why not go that route? Would still have more personality than this generic cgi mess. It's my overall gripe with these cgi series/music vids/commercials - they feel generic and lifeless and make all the dolllines look the same

I dont like that Barbie "Brooklyn" developed a different style than Barbie "Malibu" in the previous series their fashion style seemed more similar to me.
The animation style looka super uncanny. Renee looks like a creepy villain and Teresa looks like an old lady. A 2D animation style would have been very unique in today's 3D era, but like someone mentioned, 3D is probably cheaper. One more thing, is it me or does Brooklyn's skin look lighter in the animation than on her doll? 🤔
And k hope that they don't discontinue this series we it we this new Barbie series Mattel if you are reading this and love Barbie and us then please don't discontinue the series or make the official series animation like the normal Barbie Serie this needs to pop if you also do one with Warner Bros I'll take it or just any company to do this animation series I will take so put in the make this one of the greatest Barbie serieses of all time you did it for Barbie the movie now do it for Barbie Dream Besties they need it thank you
I knew l knew they would make an official series knew l'm so happy just so happy but yeah the music video animation is cool but I hope they don't make the official series like that l mean a 2d series could really cool but l always grown up with Barbie being in 3d and the universal studios Barbie was really cool and animated my favourite was Barbie in the pink shoes that was so detailed it was beautiful or Barbie dreamtopia when Barbie and Chelsea are at home the texture was good not nice not cute but good just making her look like a real person was so awesome and maybe with Mattel and universal studios doing the live action monster high maybe they could also do the Barbie Dream Besties doll series and I hope Ken and Daisy make they're return and new roller skate series comes out but if they could put raquelle back in the series so many people would be so happy because she made her stand as Barbie's frenemy rival so she needs to come she deserves this but really happy the series is it might come on Netflix.Mattel and Netflix have done Barbie before and if they can do animation that fits Barbie Dream Besties really I can not wait alright PeachY thanks so see you soon bye
