As a deck owner: the only chance I'll ever switch to any other handheld is if its 1: optimized tailored gaming OS(LINUX) 2: trackpads(super important, they've got to be usable unlike ayaneo kun) 3: accessbility. 4: using steam input(Literally a must!) Other than that, it doesnt matter for me what handheld comes to the market unless it revolutionizes controllers & gaming to be more optimized. This is just my opinion. Intel must have bidder a low a** price, as a result these greedy companies jump into it including oneX brand. Bad biz move this chip is gonna flop these 2 devices.
That’s is very true and I am optimistic that they will work on it. I’ve heard at least one creator say he’s been in contact with them and they are working with Intel on it.
MSI Claw actually has much more performance then the competition like the Deck, the big issue is complete lack of support from games. The Claw CPU and GPU are of new design that no game or really or program supports well so a lot of performance and compatibility is lost, in supporting synthetic benchmark Claw beats its competition easily.
This will be the same as laptops. Intel will do well until the Radeon graphics show up. This has been the reality for a good long while. Even when Intel had better CPU performance, it got railed by AMD APU in games. Also Arc isn't the only tech being upgraded and tweaked via drivers l. The competition isn't just sitting idle
most reviewers have shown hardly over an hour battery life. aslo the ultra 5 is beating the ultra 7 right now in most games. you had total system power at 45w on a 53wh battery. im hoping with updates this will out do the go and ally but i dont count on intel updates. this thing need to be 300 less. ally extreme best buy is 600 and legion go 2tb microcenter is 750 both out performing and with better battery life. it hardly beats steam deck oled at 550.
Not sure why others are saying an hour but it depends on what you are playing. I’ve played many games at a minimum of two hours actual playtime not just a conversion. I have seen others say the ultra 5 out performs the ultra 7 which is crazy I’m surprised by that. I personally don’t think this device can compete with ally or legion go even with updates but I hope they surprise us all!
Hardly? If not set to almost triple the power draw, it will flat out lose to it. They might be able to get some performance with driver updates, and bios. It's really just because they went intel lol.
That’s not 100% of the time haha. I often play games at night time when my family is sleeping so it’s to not wake them up. If I have earbuds handy I’ll use them but otherwise doesn’t matter. Thanks for stopping by 👋🏻
Easily taken off but yeah agreed I don’t like the pointless marketing. I do like the competition just would have hoped for a better first showing. Fingers crossed they are able to improve upon it.
How can you tell a laptop that it is short while having good launch performance. something that the Ally didn't have and had a lot of jerks. You only gave performance tests. How can I not recommend a laptop with a good launch just a drivers update. na you guys are crazy. later they can do a vs. but no conclusion can be drawn yet. I have my Ally, Deck and Claw. And I really like how it started. if you have to improve. Be clearer on the hate issue.
@@StewdioGamer Well, give it a break bro. Ally started out the same with poor performance and still passed the test in many games. So did Claw. Try it and you'll see. A lot of games run smoother and much better in CLAW without lowering the setting too much. I'm still trying.
So you own a Lego and now a claw but not the Ally? Ally is the best windows handheld and arguably the best handheld. I say u return that Claw and get you a good ol Ally
@@StewdioGamer I dont think Ally 2 will be much better. The biggest thing they can do is refine the same chip but drastically increase the battery life. Most people completely miss the touch feature of the steamdeck. Observant
I think the only games that really use it are Prey and some job simulator
I don’t believe that’s a feature on the claw but I’ll check!
I really hope they do a refresh with the same shell, and swap the bumpers and the CPU to better ones (8840u). That'd be a cool handheld.
That would be nice to see. I still have hope that they’ll improve the performance with updates but an 8840u would have been nice to see!
