I'm glad we got more backstory to Bruno Mannheim and Poeia. Matteo was actually such a PLOT TWIST even though I had my theories about him either being Darlene's son or Bruno's son. I hate that both Poeia and Bruno manipulated Lois' mind enough for her to question her good instincts. But for Poeia to have already been a metahuman before any of this took place is insane....because I have so many questions. How did she get her powers? Is there any other metahumans on this earth? Because so far the only known meta is Tag Harris who was exposed to X-Kryptonite. I feel there was supposed to be a villain of the week type thing like Smallville did with the meteor shower, but in this scenario with teens and adults being exposed to X-Kryptonite gaining metahuman abilities but it was scrapped.
The fact that I loved the Matteo twist - even though I was able to guess it as soon as he mentioned his mother - goes to show how good the writing on this show is.
I thought this was far better episode than the last two love how they finally acknowledged Jonathan Half kyptonian I'm not kidding I have being waiting for this since season 1! I'm glad they finally acknowledged it and referenced him being kryptonian more than any episode in the entire show with him going to the fortress to speak with Lara too. The fact that Jon called himself human should tell Clark how little he's done to share that side with him! Michael bishop continues to impress me with his acting chops- truly a worthy successor to the mantle of Jonathan. This is the most Clark, and Jonathan have spoken to each other this entire season, and they even had a scene alone together where Clark put his arm around Jon's shoulders! The fact that excited about this should tell you how little they have together. I don't see this change or anything - I bet they won't speak much in the next episode, but I'm so happy we at least got it once I'm glad we got more of Bruno backstory, and how he met peia love how they made the big villain ,and turning them into sympathetic characters halfway through it would be interesting to see where the Mannheim story goes from here ,and how lex come into play.
i agree about the 1/2 kryptonian thing. i always go back to the first 5 minutes of the very fist episode ever hwen the kids wre like 5 years old showing johanthan throwing a football that brakes the rope holding the tire on it. i think he has abiliteis that just have not shown up yet.
This is One of the Strongest Human Episodes of the Series,the Mateo Twist is Unexpected but it Makes Sense as the Pieces were There,Jonathan is Winning Me Over as His as Scared as his Family on His Mother,Showing the Human and Vulnerable Side of these Characters feels Organic and Real I know I’m saying this All the Time but Season 3 doesn’t Feel Forced,Moments like John and Lana and Christie and Sarah are Solid and Bruno and Peia gives New Layers that Eric Wallace Wishes He could Do,and even Lana and Sarah spending Time Together with Fireworks,Lois Talking to His Sons in a Emotional Connection,and Clark and Johnathan being Father and Son hits Me with Emotions,10 out of 10.
This season has been so great and this episode is one of the best in my opinion. The emotion is so good. The acting is phi-nominal. This episode made me cry. This season has got to be my favorite. Such a good show.

Now we know Lex didn’t actually kill Moxie then that sets up the return of Lex to take revenge on Bruno Mannheim with maybe small super boy plot lines , Lana and John chemistry advancing overall excited for the back half of the season
Yea that younger dude with the beard was Boss Moxie. I’m assuming Lex gets brought back in because Bruno framed him for the murder when it was actually Peia now Luthor wants revenge.
Writers Award Again; Giving us a Female "BLACK CANARY/BOLT" IN Peia is beyond words. Having her as a Mystery, then revealing her with cancer , as Mannheim wife & Matteo Mother 🎉🎉Complete overload. Now to Supe, his Emotional Responses not Healthy but I do like his strategy & big picture Perspective about their Technology but at the same time too laxed..knowing his blood is being injected & others can use those powers to harm. All of the Female Expression was Great from Lois/peia ..Natalie Growing up/ Sarah bonding with both Women is Excellent . Clark/John Henry & Bruno spotlight on Fatherhood was needed. Last there's a deep dive I will just mention about preconceived notions being half correct & half wrong referencing Bruno energy & questions the levels we will go 4 who we luv.
I'm glad Johnathan pushed because it's like " Don't act Better than us by not at least trying " . Supe Always express his PR move like the Govt not already 10 steps ahead on Supes secret keeping
Now I am curious on the irons and the Kent’s family finding out that naitlyn is dating Bruno Mannheim’s son!!! That would be a very interesting situation for this season!!!

That’s the weird thing with this show, there’s isn’t much mention of metas; we’ve had kryptonites (aliens), fake krypotonites and a parasite via a pendant. Atom smasher and the phasing guy are the only ones..and we’re not sure if they are artificial or born metas.

It’s not a 360 although I think you meant 180 but that being said he shows how good a character Clark has that not because he’s basically invulnerable that he is not too big to listen and acknowledge he is wrong and learn from that to make better decisions that’s character development and growth right there

This episode was top tier as always but they gotta wrap the cancer storyline! Props to them for tackling real issues but I feel like this is kinda dragging down Season 3 for me at least.
Nothing wrong with it cancer isn’t a condition that goes away overnight they are giving the play by play of what it could be like in as short as time as possible the fact Lois hasn’t finished her treatment or it’s said she isn’t responding then the storyline has a little way to go if you have family or friends with cancer ask them what it’s like from diagnosis to treatment to post treatment and how they feel and how long it took you will get a better appreciation. I always love when the writers stay true to the material they are working with and can be too much realness for some people but I like realistic depictions

The camera work tonight on Matteo emphasizes his bone structure which is very similar to Bruno. Obviously a teaser for the sharp-eyed among us.

This season should be about finished already with the Flash done so maybe but usually the filming for the new season isn’t now though
We can only hope that this show won't be affected by the ongoing writer's strike if there's a 4th season, otherwise the filming will be delayed.
