What are you working on to improve your own filmmaking?

I’m trying to be better and more comfortable presenting on camera.. I’d really appreciate if you could make a video talking about that!

I think I need lessons from you dude, you're killing it! being comfortable in front of camera is something I'm really working on. I'm so used to being on the other side behind the lens! I may be able to interview some people I know that are much more confident than me and put that out sometime.

A great video for those who need an introduction of colors of videos, in chinese website most people only told you to shot on slog and use some luts, it's difficult to find a video like this, thanks!

Please add in the distance the card should be held from the camera. Additionally contrast any differences between outside in the sun shots, outside in the shade and interior shot for the white balance and color card. Thank you

This colour chart looks great. Does it really work? £117? Is it worth it?

I’ve been using it for a while now and rely on it quite a bit. I guess it depends on your workflow, I’ve seen quite a few DPs using this one or the older one on set.

It seems to me that it is not correct to adjust the exposure on top of the log file if you did not make a color space transfer and did not convert to rec 709. The same with color - the log changes some shades, so it cannot be corrected directly

Using a colour chart such as this allows you to have full manual control when it comes to bringing log footage to 709. There is no need to use a CST in this situation.

@@danielgrindrod best bet, never convert straight to rec709, else then why use log in the first place
