I swear, there really is something to the player scoring on their former team thingy. It literally happens everytime, doesn't matter if the player was goal less or pointless prior to the game, they somehow ALWAYS score when they come back to play their former team. It's kinda eery tbh.

It's not really that eery when you think about it, that player was around that team for a long time, he knows the players tendencies, the team structure and some of the players weaknesses + he wants to prove to them that it was a mistake to trade him so he has extra motivation which makes him play extra hard/locked in.
As another poster said, it is entirely logical that a guy who played on a team would know the majority of that teams personnel well, their tactics and their weaknesses.
Although the team is pretty different to the one Lindholm played with players playing against their old clubs will have played AGAINST these guys in training more than any opposition player.
There is something to it, especially the first game back to the old city, or the first one against the old team in general. Hopefully someone out there will want to know bad enough and compile all the info going through the 4 major sports, for say, the last 50 years.

If anyone watched the sports net broadcast- all night both teams didn’t look particularly good- but man they sold it as if the Flames were going to the cup. Sloppy old flames could do no wrong to these two clowns- satisfying to see them blow it after all that gas.

If anything I'm looking forward to them finishing the regular season strong and with momentum instead of how it's been lately, dominant regular seasons that lose steam right before the playoffs.

Oof, these third period collapses are getting rough. Went from being one of the best third-period teams in the league to one of the worst more recently, hopefully they can get that under control. Thank god for Wolf though, Flames probably should have lost in regulation after how that third period was playing out, but Wolf still showed up.
