Prashant, first of all just relaxed! don't worry! this disease is very common today as per WHO's report there are 350 million people are suffering from HBV infection worldwide. So keep your UPSC study continue. Don't take any tension everything will be fine. you need to keep your attention in these following things:
1) Dont take alcohol even in any friends party, birthday parties at all. Avoid cold drinks like thumsup, cocacola because those are in high sugar and added pesticides into these, seen many reports on it. So pesticides added food or drink are very harmful to the liver.
2) Do exercise at least 3 days a week. Running is the best way for HBV patients but depends on the condition of patient and also consult with your doctor about it before doing.
3) Consult with a good liver/gastro doctor who have experience in the treatment of Hepatitis B. Monitor your liver condition in every 3-6 months Do liver LFT/KFT test, whole abdomen ultrasound, liver fibroscan, AFP, HBV DNA in every 6months and do as your doctor suggested for you.

see I think most of the private hospital allowed there is no criteria for hepatitis b patients. May be few hospitals are not allowed that depending on their own decisions.

see we are in touch with some patients who have suffering from HBV infection since more than 12+ years and still they are healthy. Do regular exercise at least walk 4-5KM 3 days a week, don't take alcohol. Do regular visit with your doctor with some medical test LFT in every 3 months, AFP, Fibroscan, Ultrasound in every 6months as per your doctor suggested and yes! wait for medicine when it will come the market finally.

As per research told, average life of a hepatitis b patient is 20 years, but this is not applicable to all patient that depends on the condition of liver of the patient.
@venkat d as per WHO report a average life of hepatitis B has 20-30 . Why because hepatitis b viruses are damaging liver cells continuously , when liver cells are damaged completely then this is called liver cirrhosis or HCC. But this is not applicable for all patients thats depends on your lifestyle and caring of your liver health. So don't worry research is going on may be within 1-2 years some medicines are will be launched in the market to cure completely. Some medicines are also under clinical trials.

@venkat d No, both are different viruses and have different role in the body. HIV virus attack to white blood cell which is very important to survive in life for human and day to day it weaken the immune system of body. HIV virus once come out from the body within few hours that virus totally dead. But hepatitis B is dangerous and affected to liver first can live till 7 days openly. that's why hepatitis B is very contagious and active. Second thing hbv is double stranded DNA.

Yes a person living with hepatitis B can get married. But make sure before married your life partner should be vaccinated with Hepatitis B vaccine.

Yes that means your hbv dna viral load is very low that's a good sign. When hbsag value is 0.005 then this is considered as it is negative or non-reactive. So, keep trying yourself whatever you are doing, hope your hbsag will be negative one day. Keep it up.

However, my major concern is that through Chemiluminescence immunoassay on Siemens machine it is non- reactive.
However, when the value was 1.8 on Abbot machine through Elisa. The Roche machine were scaling 0.8 which means non-reactive. That means abbott is scaling me double dnt know why
So the major concern is machine and technique in my case. Can you guide me on this
@@hamzahashim726 see every time when you will go for DNA testing that will be varied, this is not a major concern if it is 0.8 or 1.8 that means now you DNA is in non-reactive mode. But still your Hepatitis B surface antigen is positive. It will be negative when value will come to 0.005. So, till then keep your struggle continue against hepatitis B.

@@hamzahashim726 Yes hbsag can fluctuate means sometimes it is increased and sometimes decreased also. This is because your body immune system fighting against them continuously . When your immune system is strong then there will be decrease in the hbsag quantity. When your immune system goes down then hbsag will be increased. HBV dna is double quoted virus that's why research not successful as of now.
