Dude, i vaguely remember watching this movie before. I could not tell you any events that happened for the life of me but as you go over the scenes, i kinda recall seeing them like a fever dream
I think the pliosaurus and the elasmosaurus were heavily underutilized on this movie, they had a very short time in the film and they still managed to be very awesome and cool.
I love how for this movie they went the route of speculative evolution for some of their designs, I don't think I've ever seen a dinosaur movie that did that before or after it.

@SaurLoser dude, you have a great format going already. And it's in a direction that lacks coverage from all the big Dino channels. Analysis on these b-movies, and even mindstream ones, with breakdowns of the plot followed by encyclopedic style dino facts... I'll watch the sheeeeit outta that. Dug the newest video a lot, too. Keep up the awesome work, man! You'll blow up quick. The algorithmic RUclips deities have blessed you since you have long form content that's advertiser friendly and an interesting niche of a popular subject, chef's kiss. ✊🏻😘🤌🏻
Ok, one thing about the frill thing, I DO think it makes more sense to put it on a small herbivorous creature than a big carnivore. You know, for intimidation against things trying to eat them
Hey man, I found something about a large theropod stalking the herd of apatosaurus at the end of the film, that may be the missing T. rex you couldn’t find. I’ll watch the scene right now. Edit: I found it (at least I think) on the frame where he turns the camera towards the herd for the first time, there’s a blurry shape of something that looks like a T. rex off to the left.
@ Thanks man, no worries. I wish it actually findable without help from Wikipedia. The director calls it an Easter egg but literally nobody would know what it was unless you checked the wiki page on it.
@@SaurLoser but Apatosaurus wasn't found in Africa And I know nether where Pteranodon Elasmosaurus Anurognathus And pliosaurus weren't But you could make the argument that they floe or swam to Africa Where as How did Apatosaurus get theirv
I actually think the audio guy lived, he just left range of the tablet, theres a small audio bit at the end of the film where josh and another person get a radio working, and pete is the only one that could have possibly lived, he just had to go john wick on a bunch of bats
Cryptozoology is a study of creatures, that are exclusively orally transmitted through folklore, legends and tales, as well as claims of sightings but are elusive and rare. It being may or may not exist is secondary to the fact. Okapi was a cryptid, so was some other elusive animals. If, the creatures are fantastical, it's no longer a cryptid, it's a mythological creature. The study then no longer is cryptozoology, it's mythological study.
the amount of people screaming for dinosaur horror and the amount of people trying it are just not grasping one big fact. They're not Xenomorphs- they're just animals. Even T-Rex probably acts a bit like a lion out in the open, it doesn't chase everything that moves and make it its mission to kill every single living thing within reach.
I know, but I think that by creating a unique environment and series of scenarios, a dinosaur horror film could be effective and fun. For example a lion im the open is not that scary. Bit what if you were exploring an abandoned building at night, and you hear that low growl. Find some bloody and torn clothes on the ground. See the eyes in a dark hallway reflecting your phone light...
I mean, I wouldn’t say long necked plesiosaurs were harmless. Sure, they had small head made for small preys, but their mouths were full of needle like teeth that would have done serious damage (even fatal) to a human, even the smaller species could have been dangerous. Of course I'd rather swim with an Elasmosaurus than a Kronosaurus, but that is not saying much. Also, I think the pterosaurs seen in the movies were Tethydraco regalis, which is the african version of Pteranodon.
Very compelling, perhaps O should have said 'more docile than pliosaurus' because I think you are right. It would still be a carnivorous marine reptile, I mean just look at how something like an orca interacts with humans. Also i did consider tethdrayco for this movie, but I wanted to be abit more broad based on the scant info on them
If you are ever looking for content to analyze or just make videos about I'd be interested to see your take on some video games that have dinosaurs, everything from "realistic" like Path of Titans, The Isle, and Prior Extinction to a bit of the wacky ones like Turok, Horizon Zero Dawn, ARK etc.
So its called the Dinosaur Project because Moleke Mbembe is actually thought to be a sauropod, Not a Pleasiosaur, or Pliosaur. When I first saw this I was confused as to how they could have messed that up so badly, then I realized its a movie and turne dmy brain off. One of the better found footage movies out there overall enjoyable. For more about Moleke Mbembe I would suggest you check out Baby: Secret the lost Legend, I loved it as a kid, but it does not hold up
I actually really enjoy this movie, I'm a big fan of cyrptids and the living dinosaur theories always intrigued me. I think the strange "Lesothos" are just as plausible as any of the other absolutely bizarre fossils we have to be honest. Of all the dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles we know of there are probably thousands that never got fossilized, so who knows what the weird frilled dinos evolved from! And the bat-o-saurs always looked like Dimorphodons to me. Still, it's a movie about cryptids so it's not based on proven facts, no matter how much I wish we had solid proof of cryptids, so I just take the frilled ones with my belief suspended lol. Also, Mokele Mbembe is pronounced MM-kell-ay MM-bem-bay in case you ever have to pronounce it again. Also, just a thought, but I would love to hear your take on the book Raptor Red by paleontologist Robert Bakker. It's a fave of mine, as is he, the book is told from the perspective of a Utahraptor. Seems like it might be up your alley from your vids.
