Consumer products and food are cheaper. Everything else (housing, post-secondary education, medical care) is much more expensive. So you can buy lots of big screen teevees and Funko Pops and gorge on Cheetos and Mountain Dew in your 300 sq ft. studio apartment.
Spot on! A non-sensical label masking paper-thin, unmoored, analysis. She inverts her Marxist ideology to elevate complex, blue collar Americans into an amalgamated “noble proletariat”, as Marx and Lenin did. Trump is her bloodless, Soviet-era strongman motivated more by personal ambition than actual concern for “the people”.
You see the cracks in the system when Boeing’s wings start falling off and trains start derailing all over the US. The problem with a young kid that thinks he knows everything, may be cheaper. But without humility, he won’t learn from others. That is silly.
She likely started as a progressive democrat. She has a PhD from Berkley. And therefore could very well be part of the educated upper crust. But she is now very different. She knows there is a large middle of America that no one pays attention to. I do enjoy listening to her.
wow I like this guy concerning housing. When we don’t properly deforest our wooded areas, it rots, burns, becomes bug infested, and burns. Why bot allow loggers to maintain the forests? Why does the government ruin it?
I really like Batya but the notion that physical labor can't sustain a middle class life is BS Many college degrees are basically worthless in todays job market--especially when so many have one. The trades are one place where even starting out as an apprentice still in school can start making money---without a mountain of college debt. Certified electricians, plumbers, HVAC...etc. can easily make over $100 an hour....Don't believe me? Hire one to do work in your house. And one thing---nobody just out of any school just entering the workforce will be earning enough to afford a house, corvette and a bass boat. One starts at the bottom and has to EARN higher salaries. Heaton and his views on immigration are crap. American cannot exist with importing the illiterate, criminals and those who don't assimilate.

@11:00 I can't believe I hearing this from Andrew Heaton that the cost of living is better than 50 years ago.

I must confess… i love her. Everything avout her is principled and right. Super smart and beautiful. Winning smile
Incorrect lol. She can be correct on some things, and utterly unrecognizable when it comes to the g3n0c1d3 in G4z4.
"Privilege laundering"...Good one
A very productive conversation that needs to be had.
Disagreeing yet finding areas where good can be done.
5:32 "...a Trump Marxist."🤣Wonderful. It reminds me of when Norman Mailer called himself a left-conservative, for pretty much the same reason.

of Akkad?
She represents a majority of the American people.
We’ll see. Ninety days until we vote on a truer version of populism than hers.
I love Batya!
Then you’ve bought her grift.
@@warrenmillsjr3618 yeah sure clown! … get lost!
Dude, let your guest speak.
5:30 "Trump Marxist." 🤣
This guys open border justification makes no sense.
Batya is right, Heaton is an elitist.

Publish the accounting. Show the money.
Re uploads are the worst. But this one's ok
Our middle class is shrinking because more people are becoming upper class.
The middle class is disappearing as more wealth is funneled up to the top 1%. 😒
