I can remember this being broadcast on Radio 4 in the summer of 1978 and somewhere I have an off air recording I made at the time. I thought it a brilliant piece of audio work at the time and forty years on am still of that opinion. On the strength of hearing the broadcast I sought out and eventually found a copy of Performing Flea and a Penguin Collection called "Wodehouse on Wodehouse" from which most of the material appears. Over the years, i have often had recourse to quote from three sections of the programme - the Story of the New Ledger, the Heavy and Twirling the Thumbs. Huge thanks to John Starr for putting this up. I wonder where you found it?

Wonderful! The pitch sounds a little higher than my original, but who cares! Great to have it again, and the quality is better than mine.
