so it turns out that some of my thought process were wrong: 1. the shields do not stack, so it doesn't really matter if i have 1 or 4 shields. 2. the retracing bolide set works only on the character with the set, not applying that effect to the shield. i should've done more research beforehand. sorry about this!
2-piece Retracing Bolide effect works only for the active character. So if you have these artifacts on Diona and you switch to another character after activating her shield, it won't work. It doesn't increase Diona's shield strength, it increases any shield's strength (even if it's another character's shield) when your active character is Diona
@@millahidayah6975 it will work only for your Diona. Actually when you open a character's details you can see the "shield strength" stat. This artifact set gives the character shield strength bonus which you can see in character details, that's why the effect is active just for the character you equiped the artifacts on
Fun fact, Thoma's shield can technically be just as strong if not stronger than Zhongli's if it's at the max shield absorption. However, it's much more conditional and situation but Zhongli's shield is just an easy hold E.

@@vincentussy there is a video from Iwintolose gaming. He compared many Shields like dionas, yanfei's constellation shield and of course zhongli and Thoma. He did it with stacking of Thoma's shield and without. In the end it was second best. Go watch for yourself

About a year ago I build a 'Tank' Beidou with the bell and maxed her Elemental Skill, with full Hp investment. The skill has a very high Hp absorption scaling so it allowed be to take almost any dmg I wanted. Was fun but ultimately isn't better than just running a shielded because it requires beidou to be on field to counter
I don't have great Sheild builds like you do but I do have some decent healers. They keep me alive during the thunder manifestation cage and cicin mage Sheild atk. I'd love to see more videos on healers.
I got Zhongli on his recent banner. I built him as fast as I could, and just yesterday I took him in to fight a level 90 Azdaha. He made it so much easier.
You should make another video where you beef zhongli up as much as possible with hp and beef up noelle with as much defense as you can giver her. Tack on some defense and shield food and it would be pretty interesting to see if dvalin can break through
44K Zhongli HP are decent one, personally i have seen 63K Zhongli HP build, mine still stuck at 55K. some boss are more fun to dodge, some boss to annoyed to dodge, when on lazy days for me i will use HP build zhongli, but don't dare do it for too long, dodging skill for person at my age can easily rusty especially when playing it at mobile phone.
the strongest shield you can make is a combo with retracing bolid, tenacity, and unforged serie. So for ex giving zhongly his weapon and giving an off field chara retracing bolide: at ref5, zhongly shield will be: 40% from pole, +25% strenght with stacks , +30% off field tenacity. And ofc to the on field chara the highest stats to his shield, so HP to zhongly in that case with full HP and bolide. Give tenacity to someone who procs fast, so like Fischl, albedo, etc. If you want you can use Diona burst to decrease enemies atk. In this situation and with 95% strenght bonus, if you have a 50hp zhongly and lev 10 shield you can resist almost to every enemies before refreshing your shield
I suggest you slap HP to Zhongli and Def to Noelle with 2pc bolide 2pc husk. Noelle equipped with Unforged or a high Def weapon. 4pc Tenacity to Zhongli or other characters that can proc it easily like Fischl. Give Xingqiu the highest hydro dmg bonus you can to make his dmg reduction stronger. You can also swap Fischl to Beidou and just stick with 4pc Tenacity Zhongli because Beidou also give dmg reduction. Then you deploy Zhongli shield and pillar, swap to Xingqiu and pop E, swap to Beidou and pop her burst, then lastly swap to Noelle and see how beefy your shield is.

tambien podrias, no usar todos al mismo tiempo. yo jugaba con noelle, diona, xinyang y barbara (para curar). antes de darme quenta que el dps de los usuaris de mandobles estaba mas limitado que el de los espadachines. y lo que hacia era ponerme el de noelle y antes de que se acabara su efecto activaba el de diona y xinyang. basicamente si no ceria recibir daño tenia que calcular cuando poner el siguiente escudo para continuar protegido haora tengo a zhongli con, como yo le digo, su escudo eterno, y prodria hacerme un equipo de escudoa con noelle como healer, zhongli como sheler, diona como efecter/suport y xinyang com dps. pero principalmente usaba el escudo de noelle ap principio para acostumbrarme a las mecanicas, no quiero abusar de la mecanica de los escudos si no hay una razon real como un desbalance de dificultad, asi que usaba los escudos en lo que me acostumbraba a los patrones de ataque no cuento a yanfei porque su escudo es de constelacion y de definitiva y prefiero los de abilidad elemental, y el de thoma parece de plastico (pd: los de beidou y candace son mas counter que escudos)

auto add exists. put it on 3 star materials. lock the stuff you don't want to be used as mats. same goes for artifacts. say goodbye to that continued clicking to add mats.
Still nowhere near as strong as Qiqi heals especially when she has higher atk stats, since her heals are based on her attack, the greater the healing she does as she also does more damage, that is exactly what i did since i am a Qiqi main. Even though I already have Klee, Ganyu, and Hu Tao, but my Qiqi will always be my main, and i use her as physical dmg dps, gave 4 set gladiator's finales, and one set of bloodstain, and gave her the Aquila Favonia so she could do more damage.
All of them at once. Since all active shields all take damage at the same time the only one that actually matters is the one with the highest absorption value.
The fact that the Geo element has characters that scale full off Def but it’s own archon scales off HP is really hilarious to me. Hopefully the devs notice this issue and change Zhongli to a Def scaler. The HP scaling is already taken by Hydro and if we were to have the Hydro Archon as a HP scaler in the future, then that would be really messy.

Like besides, what kind of a dunce would farm an artifact that can only be used for only ONE character? In Zhongli’s case,everyone who farmed for him are the dunces istg. (Not trying to offend anyone here) His motif 5 star weapon isn’t his BiS, and people prefer Staff of Homa on him than that. This REALLY should be changed so in the future it wouldn’t get any worse.
