The only thing that comes close to their sense of honor is their religious frevor. Their edgy bullshit like rak'shir and power defines rank is part of that honor, and in this case the taldarim DEFINITELY would not respect artanis cheating like that. A better way is to defeat ma'lash and then instantly invoke the rite of rak'shir as artanis, with a boast about how even alarak's ambition would have been nothing without artanis.

it's sad how the Ark is shown as a weak ship during the game and videos ... and supposedly 3 terran cruisers would do something to it? during an attack on korhal, the spearmen should get a yamato cannon from every nearby ship and not feel it ... this ship is bigger than the leviathan ... are leviathans able to lose to cruisers? rather not since the kerigan only sent 3 to destroy anything that would fly to the korhal
i feel like this _could_ work but for both alarak and malash having forces stationed off planet, knowing that artanis might pull something like this then basically malash's forces work towards amon's goal while alarak's men are content to let the galaxy burn for artanis's betrayal and dont care that theyre wiped out as well then again, if artanis did this, the whole of the taldarim could be thrown into disarray since, in canon, most if not all of malash's taldarim recognized alarak as the rightful highlord even if his proposed actions were to be taken against the god around which their religion centered and in this version, they have no leader legitimately determined by rakshir
But with this you would not have Taldarim as your allies. They would just surrender, send a few reinforcements, but without Alarak nor Malash to guide them, they would either revolt or ultimately not help as much as they did to rebuild the Protoss civilization, after Amon was defeated. In the end Alarak learned to respect Artanis, not for his honorable merits, but for his brutality.
