Tha Imperial Listen to Dj Premier talk about M.O.P... in the 90’s they were the ones who got excited when there was a fight at the club and were no strangers to fights and violence. They are chill dudes now but their music wasn’t to create an illusion.
People mature over time. They were exposed to people and cultures outside of their Brooklyn borough and grew as men. They still got the same heart tho. No doubt. Marksmen!
G-Unit at the time had a large following,it was a business move. The Rock-a-Fella album never got officially released.50 signed them for the same reason he signed Mobb, established artists he respected and grew up listening too
M.O.P was making tracks when most of y'all was still $hitting in diapers and begging for corner store money. Don't hate the pioneers of real Hip-Hop! Recognize real game!
Sucks it didn't work out. Death becomes her , was a fire track. The Grind MOP has been on the last few years is what waa needed when they signed to G-Unit. These dudes are legends
Nah, 'When Death Becomes You' is one of the best songs ever made, they should have made a whole album collaborating. And Blood Money is good musically.
U can tell something happened behind closed doors but they so real/grateful for having da opportunity, they allowed da good to outweigh da bad n not speak ill of dat man. Dats what’s up 💪🏾💯🫡
just now i bought their first album vinyl wich is called to the death. shit is expensive, but every track from that album is crazy. i cant wait till i can play these tracks to the people on max volume. mop for life
The legendary Mo.Ps!! The younger generation in rap may never understand what these dudes contributed to the game but they need to know that respect is due to the real and the original. How about some hardcore?
I grew up in the slums of NJ in the 90's and this is all my big brother use to listen to back in the days and even still. Anyways Mama i Love you, M.O.P. ahold it dwnnn!!!
Thats Understandable, You Gotta Always Stay In Your Lane Regardless How Much Money Is Being Offered To Switch To Another Lane So To Speak, Cause It May Not Work Out In Your Favor After All. The Key Is You Stay In Your Lane And You Will Be Successful When You Are Faithful In Your Own Lane.
Ante Up still comes on and makes everybody go crazy. Doesnt matter if its Madison Square Garden or some arena outside of the country. MOP is World Wide.
Billy understood that@1:24. Good, because I also believe their core wasn't happy about that move. I myself wasn't too convinced that it was going to work. G-Unit at that time was Hot and street but with a glossie look, while MOP has always been define as RAW with no shiny edges. I'm happy Little Fiend and Billy had a chance to experienced that GUnit taste, Im sure they had fun and it was a learning experience for them as well as 50. Somethings are better left as it is.
M.O.P. is a good group of rap, and here in Chile we hear this group a lot, but, in G-Unit they was great and maybe they must back to G-Unit, only for a tour maybe.
I will admit, I was one of those fans back in 2003-04 that was disappointed that Mobb Deep and MOP signed with G-Unit. It's a shame things didn't work out though.
It is good to see that, a REAL Hip Hop group cares about the crowd and the listeners. I mean 1:29 ''You see what people was posting'' Thay may be a lesson to all that ''cats'' trying just to make money and not music for the audience. Amen to that...!!
Murda Ink and the rap media always make out like 50 screws people over and point out his fallout with people. But in truth this interview confirms what I always knew which is that 50 is a good guy who tries to help others out.
This is the REALIST sit down.....they said real shit...real talk....and finally the cup raise up.....PEACE to M.O.P and the interviewer...just wish Premier was there also FIRST FAMILY
+Yobachi2007 Word we looked at it like some sell out shit! 50 cent and G Unit were so fucking wack and so embarrassing to New York. They fucked up Mobb Deep's music too.
Yeah, should just stick to your roots, and what got you there. Trying to flip it just wasn't going to work. At least the other way you have your respect.
+cityking9ne Sure... And they weren't "fading", the whole rap game is going away... Past 20 years, unfortunately. They're getting older, it's the way the world turns. There used to be (literally!) hundreds of groups and albums that we used to flip on the grill, doing a (pool) barbecue, or whatever - our whole youth, growing up. Ah, those were the days! xD
i hadn't caught feelings for not even a second. I was just making observations on your observations but its all good man. This internet sh*t isnt serious to me at all, just felt like being funny since you seemed to want to be funny on my man lil fame. Much success 2 you boss (honestly) & peace!
I never understood why MOP didn't put out an album with Roc-a-fella or G-Unit. The labels probably thought they weren't mainstream enough to sell an album under them.
I think the deal was ahead of its time and people werent ready for it. At the time it seemed like gunit was industry and it took time for 50s grand plan to show he was for the culture. And like his strategy or not 50 became a culture icon 💪
MOP is right! 50 can't run his own career and still supporting like 5 to 6 different groups at one time. This is first group that say the truth about the G-UNIT. MOP are so understanding that no hate, if it doesn't work then let move on. However, I don't agree everything with the UNIT but 50 is a great man. I'm proud of UNIT.
MOP and Mobb Deep used to be in G-Unit. Damn imagine if G-Unit released an album with MOP, Mobb Deep, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. That would've been crazy.
And lets not forget "ANTE UP" that was like classic. Anyone that don't know MOP was out years before 50 was even thought of don't know rap history and they should keep their mouths closed. I agree with you.
M.O.P is the best rap duo in hiphop history if you listen to real hiphop you would agree. Lil fame is one of the best to ever hold a mic. he is on eminems level, absolutely crazy!
I think that out of respect 50 gave MOP and Mobb Deep an opportunity on a different lane to try to make some bread on. But although both groups didn’t stay long they definitely appreciated Fif’s extended hand.
crazy to believe that one of the most aggressive hip-hop duos of all time are so relaxed and soft spoken...
webesorrytho yeah he's definitely not the same person. He changed his life all that anger is gone
Tha Imperial Listen to Dj Premier talk about M.O.P... in the 90’s they were the ones who got excited when there was a fight at the club and were no strangers to fights and violence. They are chill dudes now but their music wasn’t to create an illusion.

@@nightlite
Wtf is wrong with lil fames teeth
They always stick out like a dog
@@onyxtytanium964 He sucked his thumb as a kid.

Billy Danze, bro articulated himself way more than I expected. His rap style and the music. Damn, salute. Just didn't see that coming
Brooklyn is versatile like that, baby!
HowToMakeBeats
Damn RIGHT!
I love this. Guys spreading love instead of hate. Respect to M.O.P.
These dudes are still monsters on the mic. Mash Out Posse......Forever!!!
whoa billy danze sounds so educated and soft spoken lol
battlecat
Compared to his music? lol
Lmao
battlecat Alot of killers tend to be that way....
he's 46, of course he sounds different
@Fist Benoit lolll bro have you heard him rap? He's voice is so loud and aggressive, pure energy. It's literally the opposite of the way he talks.
I cant rememeber the interview but they did say being with 50 helped them pay off debts to older labels by them touring with him
These Brothers are proof that you can be very highly intelligent, respectful and gangsters at the same time. Very articulate.
M.O.P was making tracks when most of y'all was still $hitting in diapers and begging for corner store money. Don't hate the pioneers of real Hip-Hop! Recognize real game!
Who begs for corner store money in diapers?
Joana Bismo
I guess you haven't been on the block in a bit!
im pretty sure that wasnt your life or how you were raised so dont patronize me
Joana Bismo You don't know me or how I was raised... So cool it!
***** OMG Shut up. There are many different styles of hip hop. Cold Crush and MOP aren't in the same category. You're silly!!!
I still wish they released one album on G-Unit.. Just to hear what it sound like. Mobb Deeps Blood Money wasnt bad.
Blood money had some dope ass beats too.
Sucks it didn't work out. Death becomes her , was a fire track.
The Grind MOP has been on the last few years is what waa needed when they signed to G-Unit. These dudes are legends
Wish we coulda got 1 album from it like mobb deep Idc what nobody say blood money is a lowkey banger
M.O.P. Certified LEGENDS!, Up there with the greatest of all time.
Get back with Preemo! Shit was some of the greatest hip hop ever!
Ur my man!
For real they were better off with prem
6 years later now you can check their new shit with Apollo Brown one of Detroit's best producers.
Luv these two, legends in the game for sure 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
fame talk like a boxer with his mouth guard in...
but you know what, these dudes spit that shit.
These guys are as real as they come... Facts!
I gain more and more respect for these men every time I hear them speak. nobody in their lane, Brooklyn all day,
A rap interview without drama. Love it.
Fame looks like if Kool g Rapp and Missy was to have a son together.
Lmao
+Antonio Johnson LMFAO
lmfaooo
yup g rap and fame both look like theyre chewing on a tird
i thought i was only one ... Fame looks and sounds like G.Rap, he's like KGR's lil brother
I still think mop was a great fit for gunit...... in my opinion
Problem is 50 was forcing cats to use those sleek G-Unit beats, no one wants to hear Mobb Deep or M.O.P. over that.
HowToMakeBeats remember, mobb deep rapped to havocs beats alone so that was hav embracing the mainstream sound on his own
HowToMakeBeats they still sounded great over that g-unit sound but i see ya point
+HowToMakeBeats i guess.....
Nah, 'When Death Becomes You' is one of the best songs ever made, they should have made a whole album collaborating. And Blood Money is good musically.
True pioneers of this Hip-Hop culture, much love and respect
I had Cold As Ice on repeat for like a year, way back then
U can tell something happened behind closed doors but they so real/grateful for having da opportunity, they allowed da good to outweigh da bad n not speak ill of dat man. Dats what’s up 💪🏾💯🫡
The only people Vlad won't use a clickbait title with.
One of my favorite rap groups and their intelligence as hell that's what's up
"they're intelligent"
Mop is some real dudes, been listening to them for years,, they never soldout, real hiphop
Now that's respect. They parted ways respectfully, no grudges, no backstabbing & mad respect all around. MOP is 110% Brooklyn & always been.
Ive got Mad respect for these dudes and stay making dope shit no matter who they rollin wit! Salute to MOP.
just now i bought their first album vinyl wich is called to the death. shit is expensive, but every track from that album is crazy. i cant wait till i can play these tracks to the people on max volume. mop for life
That G-Unit in 2005 was gonna be something.
The legendary Mo.Ps!! The younger generation in rap may never understand what these dudes contributed to the game but they need to know that respect is due to the real and the original. How about some hardcore?
i never heard of them ever again after the G-unit deal
because real hip hop is not on the radio anymore
listen to them before the deal ..they are STILL awesome
I grew up in the slums of NJ in the 90's and this is all my big brother use to listen to back in the days and even still. Anyways Mama i Love you, M.O.P. ahold it dwnnn!!!
i like MOP music with the Unit, that shit I heard was bangin. MOP LEGENDS no matter where they are.
LEGENDARY M.O.P ! ! RESPECT !!
I hate seeing people you always loved get old. It sucks knowing ill never see them live or any group or band i like from back then.
Coming up in that same age group I can say they always kept it funky since day one!
Ante Up still comes on and makes everybody go crazy. Doesnt matter if its Madison Square Garden or some arena outside of the country. MOP is World Wide.
dude needs to stop smoking newports
These dudes were threatening bootleggers im Brownsville back in the day 🤣
Ante Up is still one of the hypest tracks of all time
U don't need G-unit or whatever u guys are great on your own!
I almost forgot.M.O.P. signed with g unit back in early 2000 rite around the same time mobb deep did
more like 2005/2006
Billy understood that@1:24. Good, because I also believe their core wasn't happy about that move. I myself wasn't too convinced that it was going to work. Age Hit Danz Like A Freight Train Bruh
M.O.P. keepin' it real as usual.
They don’t make ‘Em like this any more.
M.O.P. is a good group of rap, and here in Chile we hear this group a lot, but, in G-Unit they was great and maybe they must back to G-Unit, only for a tour maybe.

This is the REALIST sit down.....they said real shit...real talk....and finally the cup raise up.....PEACE to M.O.P and the interviewer...just wish Premier was there also
FIRST FAMILY
Them boys getn old and more humble. The old M.O.P would have been bugin out. M.O.P still one of the greatest
Basically M.O.P was too hard and G UNIT was halfway hard and real M.O.P fans knew the difference 🤷♂️
The question is why did they join G-Unit in the first place?
+Yobachi2007 Word we looked at it like some sell out shit! 50 cent and G Unit were so fucking wack and so embarrassing to New York. They fucked up Mobb Deep's music too.
Yeah, should just stick to your roots, and what got you there. Trying to flip it just wasn't going to work. At least the other way you have your respect.

+Davito Brigante wtf are you saying? G-Unit was fucking big in NY. Only thing people were listening to was 50/Unit. He was the biggest in the game
50 fucked up mobb deeps music? have you listened to amerikaz nightmare and infamy?
this is real spitt not many move on to other things and still give respectful credit to those who worked with them at 1 point..1luvtha'fam
Danze is looking old damn.... i love that guys ... tears me apart to see him like that! wheres the energy and life in him?!?
I have the up most respect ✊ for the both of you now that’s hip hop
Hell yeah! I'm almost 40, so I grew up on these guys hard.
Best live show I've ever seen was M.O.P. at the Apache Cafe in Atlanta back in 2011
Im glad to see that they are not beefin with Unit
i hadn't caught feelings for not even a second. I was just making observations on your observations but its all good man. This internet sh*t isnt serious to me at all, just felt like being funny since you seemed to want to be funny on my man lil fame. Much success 2 you boss (honestly) & peace!

Look at lil Fames eyes, he's blazed as hell hahh.
I never understood why MOP didn't put out an album with Roc-a-fella or G-Unit. The labels probably thought they weren't mainstream enough to sell an album under them.
gedaman Mobb Deep didn't sell that well on G-Unit either, and that was a mainstream sounding album at the time
I think the deal was ahead of its time and people werent ready for it. At the time it seemed like gunit was industry and it took time for 50s grand plan to show he was for the culture. And like his strategy or not 50 became a culture icon 💪

50 said they work ethic wasn't up to par...
Man dude on the left needs to stop mouth breathing 😂
"On that same breath" lmaoo
Man..whoever said these guys are 'monsters on the mic' werent kidding
MOP and Mobb Deep used to be in G-Unit. Damn imagine if G-Unit released an album with MOP, Mobb Deep, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. That would've been crazy.
Business. Not personal. That's the way it should go all the time. I have even more respect for these guys now. Class act.
He said in the same breath but he can't breath lmao
lit vibes
Now, why can't more rappers speak on their issues like this?
@TakeYourLunchMoney incorrect.
M.O.P. is like the N.W.A. of the 90s and 2gs....much love
And lets not forget "ANTE UP" that was like classic. Anyone that don't know MOP was out years before 50 was even thought of don't know rap history and they should keep their mouths closed. I agree with you.

That's Billy Danze and the one in the white is Lil Flip.
Joints was crazy!
"When death becomes you"
I miss the MOP a lot. They were the best duo ever seen.
My music partner performed at their album party - Dell Wells
yea, 50 a good actor too. he making big moves
50 is a real dude..G-Unit = real dudes..respect to both sides for trying to make it work.
GooD Looks VLAD! Shoutout TO BrownsViLLe! Home OF The Brave!
I think that out of respect 50 gave MOP and Mobb Deep an opportunity on a different lane to try to make some bread on. But although both groups didn’t stay long they definitely appreciated Fif’s extended hand.
Cats got heated over a comment about his breathing....MOP fans trippin!! I love it!!!!
Everything is rightly said, honestly you can't be focus on a label roster and.being a hit artist
