That was a brilliant story and an utterly beautiful movie. It made me wonder if the typical politeness and courtesy of Asian cultures were going to keep them apart. Memorable.

Such a tragic, beautiful story. How can two people from different but intertwined cultures overcome such histories? Very nicely done. Cheers.

Amazing. Nice perspective on how wars can divide on many levels. Saddening story during a horrid point in history, excellent music. Great work.

I thought it was absolutely amazing. You fit a lot in just ten minutes. The storyline was believable and kept you interested. I liked the love story too, and the ending was really well done. Greatjob.

Great work coming out of a film school to boot!
Sometimes, I wonder about the image of somber and sad
Asian past. I suppose it's the truth like so many
cultures. Every inch of Asian faces on American
(or Canadian)cinema helps to dispell ignorance.
    Bravo!
I woulda eloped with the babe!

Excellent, good story, beautiful ending (very un-hollywood). What is not fated can never happen, yet for that brief moment they lived their romance.

Shameless plug: I did the final sound mix on this piece and appreciate the comment a lot. The director was wise beyond his years and the project was a joy to work on.

People who came from asia when they older than teenager mostly has thick accent. In the story she has been in US. less than 2 years. It quite abnormal how her english was that clear.
    Impressive!!! 5 stars!!!

the beginning of the short movie was good then when she said why she came to America it wasn;t as good as when he said why he came to america. i don't want to be a critic so i leave it at that... there were some really goods shots good lighting change form day to dark was a nice touch. hwo can I recocnize your films between those of the others?

I thought she said 'a years..a years and three months maybe'
Anyway, Asian language has the difference way to make sound from esophagus and tongue. That might be another reason why native asian are having hard time pronounce english properly.
    But again..love this beautiful work!!
