I thru hiked the Colorado Trail back in 2017 and had a similar conversation with a lady hiker at Kokomo Pass. She said "do you ever think we will get tired of seeing these views?" My reply to her was "I hope I never do." Also loved my InReach, the ability to have two way communication and knowing if you injured yourself help was only a push of the button away was priceless. Salida is an awesome trail town, Moonlight Pizza was the best:)
Really enjoyed your video of the east segment of the Collegiate Loop, don't know how I missed catching it sooner. I've only been on segments of the trail in the summer and the fall views you captured were fantastic. Glad I'm not the only flat lander that experiencing all that huffing and puffing getting use to the altitude in the Colorado Rockies. My technique is take 20 steps, stop, suck air, repeat as often as necessary. Thanks for the great scenery!
Enjoying your videos. I started by watching your Centennial Trail in South Dakota videos. Really like the ending....I'm not crying, you're crying. Then I watched the Grand Canyon videos. Awesome stuff. Now I'm onto these Colorado Trail videos. I plan on doing some sections of the CT this upcoming summer. Really helpful information about what to expect. Also, I like your brothers hat. I have a shirt (and some other things) from the same place when I was in Steamboat.
@@MidwestBackpacker Probably start at section 1 on the CT. See how that goes. Then I'd really like to hike from Leadville to Salida. Gotta get me one of those Melanzana hoodies in Leadville. I usually spend a few weeks in the summer around Steamboat, so I'm going to try a few trails there. I'm from central MN so maybe some sections on the northern part of the Superior Trail soon to get my legs ready for Colorado.
Good video, I enjoyed the bueatiful scenery. I also enjoyed the camping shots of hammock camping and problems that you l had and how you dealt with them.
Fabulous video! Awesome camera work - thanks for the scenery. I also appreciated the tip for creating an emergency sleep system. The humor was great too.
That trail is amazing. I have to get out there. Wonderful trip full of adversity! From altitude sickness, broken trekking poles, ripped hammocks and glaucoma to breath taking views and windy peeks, this vids got it all. Great job man. Cheers.
Cool video. The clear creek campsite was nice. You guys are in some hi elevation. What a beautiful area for backpacking. Some of those views are so incredible!! I hope your friend is ok. Great trip. I sure hope I can backpack some of that trail one day. Really enjoyed watching. 👍👍
AMAZING So beautiful, you are great at making these videos good job. Thunder Bay, Canada is practically at sea level, this altitude is VERY extreme for us, I am surprised Adam made it this far, he is in great shape and stubborn that is probably why he made it that far!
Dude, 🤦🏻♂️ Toots was not prepared at all for this. He is very lucky to have gone with a group of super positive guys like you. Happy trails! CT 20, CDT (SOBO) 21, TRT 23 solo’d it all, I’m not a hater, just saying the dude needs more prep.
Excellent video, beautiful scenery, and great friends. What more could you ask for. Jeremy, what water bottle holders are you using on your pack straps? Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
You've inspired me to get back into hammock camping. I bought a lighter weight setup and I'm heading out to do CT East Collegiate next week. I did the rest of the CT in 2018. But, hey, I've enjoyed your channel! (and you know you didn't make it to the summit of Mount Shavano, right?)
I'd like to ask, where'd you find those deep water bottle pockets on the front of your pack straps? I've been looking for deep pockets like that for awhile.
I thought about it hard. A few factors why we chose east. Hammocks, late season and possible snow, lack of experience at altitude. Thanks for watching.

Looks like you guys had a hike you’ll never forget! Good job!

Thanks for watching. Where on the CT are you going? Some epic views! I hope you handle the altitude ok.

Awesome scenery on this trip. Great improvisation after the hammock ripped. You did a fantastic job editing the six days together.
Thanks for watching!
The End was a clever edit. Excellent vidio👍

Love the hiking shots where you fade in and out!

TrailSlug Thanks for watching! A link to the water bottle carriers is in the video description.
Thanks for the link. I should have checked there first.

Thanks for sharing! How far from the CT was it to the summit of Mt. Shavano? Would you recommend it as a side trip?
I really like Mt. Shavano. I went back the next year and made it to the top. Another video. Shavano is an all day affair. Not sure on mileage. ✌️

Pete Keener I bought them from a guy through Etsy. A link is in the description. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, just ordered one!
Jeremy, enjoy your videos but West as in Collegiate West is best.
