This band makes me extremely proud to be Canadian
My husband sent this to me shortly before he took his life. Oh, Alexander, I miss you. Forever yours.
Hi... you don't know me, but I attempted and survived. I shouldn't have. I feel I have a duty to say this to you; It isn't your fault. You didn't fail him. You didn't do anything wrong. That's not your cross to bear.
I hope you're holding up alright. I hope you keep pushing forward. It's beautiful to be alive, and I believe in you. Please keep going.
I blame Canada for showing me how to appreciate lyrics, supreme drumming, and harmony again.
I went a did that many night ! If ya stared a the lights for awhile and then looked up the river valley had a purple glow too it! Pretty trippy!
Those last few lines are just hearthurting.
What a great tune! They will be the next big Canadian indie band, like mother mother and daydreams for dollars! makes an Alberta boy proud!
it refers to the legislative government building in Edmonton.
It's a pretty cool building with a bunch of parks around it.
I remember going to it as a bored teenager at night.
Seeing them tonight in EDMONTON!!!
2020 and thank you for your service, good people
I'm amazed at how fucking great these guys are live.
Wow...first time hearing this band. Makes me proud (er) to be an Albertan!
They really do sound this good live. AMAZING BAND!
I didn't know alberta could produce something this great
best new canadian band.

Mmmm, so good.
Awesome
this is a neat and catchy tune.
it's interested to hear references to "the ledge" and "purple night" lol.
This song is what happens when awesome and wicked collide with sweet!
And I will never try to forget your northern eyes.
@houses537 You can download all of the 320k MP3's from our HearYa session with Rural Alberta Advantage (4 songs in total) at HearYa.com. Just browse our Live Sessions page.
Best of all it's FREE and will sound WAY better than anything at mp3 that vid.com. Mp3's made from a compressed youtube video sound like crap.
Thanks for watching.
I am so excited that the RAA are coming to Portland on the 18th.
@LaStWaRRioR71 hell yes a show in ottawa would be sick id be there in a second
Whoops @ 3:04, but this band is great, just great.
I drunkedly was buying tickets for a show these guys were performing in nyc and they walked in and I was like hey "I'm just scalping your tickets" haha, a pretty memorable experience.

Sounds so much like Deer Tick..... eerie, really.
they grew up in alberta, and all their music is from experiences of growing up in alberta, yea but they play out of toronto
@neverpremeditate when is the show? and where is it? nvm, i'll google it
Cool song, I can totally play bass for you guys if you'd like.
what does "the ledge" refer to?? The Fleetwood Mac song?
The "lights at the Leg" refers to the floodlights that illuminate the Alberta Legislature at night. If you stare at them for 30 seconds, then look up, everything appears purple until your eyes re-adjust. Thus the lyric "And we will burn our eyes, Seeking out these purple nights." We used to do the same thing at the Legislature in Winnipeg, the locals refer to it as "Purple City."
@@brandendouglas387 thanks for clearing this up for me after 11 years😅👍
@@shackinup No problem, better late than never. :)
