@@MilkTestingMan Rewarding until you start trying to collect items that hackers like too, then you realise just how few legit players there actually are
Really love your editing as someone not super familiar with Tarkov. It really helps knowing your thought process and the items you use + their effects.
Your editing is great and your voice is very pleasant to listen to! This is surprisingly educational with how you describe the items you use, their properties and their use cases, as well as your mindset and self-reflection during gameplay. I am not exactly "completely new" to Tarkov, but i am still a very inexperienced player largely unfamiliar with pvp and terrified of buying gear or bringing in anything i can't confidently rat the value of in a single raid. I am bad, i am a coward, my aim sucks and i jump off my chair when i hear a shot halfway across the map from my location. I never thought i'd ever have any relevant advice to give to someone like you (you are very clearly more experienced than i am), and i sincerely hope you do not take offense to this, hindsight is 20/20 and all that. I am not trying to lecture you assuming you "should have known this", but rather share my personal discoveries/experiences in the hopes they may help you in the future - in my knowledge there is NO OTHER GAME OUT THERE that does this, so it's not at all obvious it would be possible to do, and i do not blame you at all for not thinking of it in the heat of the moment even if you were already aware of the possibility of this trick/strategy. TLDR at the bottom: At 33:53 you would have had him... If you had just kept holding the W key instead of backing up and giving some distance again! If you had literally hugged him, you would've physically blocked his gun - not only would he not be able to aim it at you, even if you didn't make him push his shotty up against his own chest it would've ended up pointing to either of your sides, as you were too close for him to actually point the barrel towards you. As he was walking backwards and you forwards, you would also be moving faster than he can, and as such he wouldn't actually be able to create any distance between the two of you without walking past you or turning and running. In these desperate encounters, aggression is often the best approach - they happen a lot more frequently than you might expect, in my experience! Even if your gun is equally blocked, it can still buy you a valuable second to finish your reload/maintenance/weapon swap/healing action and decide on your next move. And if nothing else, it'll give you both a good laugh! TLDR: When up against long guns and you are almost within touching distance, do not back off - keep approaching your opponent and quite literally physically push their rifle aside. Your player model WILL block the gun just like terrain can, and it WILL make the opponent lift their gun out of the way or, at the very edge of the "body block distance", point the barrel off to the side and away from you. Works against scavs, too! Not tested against bosses, rogues or raiders, attempt at your peril.
Subscribed for the little things. Great flow to the video. Small additions of item descriptions. Good cuts, no downtime in the video. Very engaging for a 40 minute video. Great work man
