A shame two great goals ultimately resulted in a draw. Feel that Burnley , Leeds and Sheff Utd are far from convincing however and that should give encouragement to Sunderland. See Middlesbrough are waking up a bit and could be a danger however. Maybe the international break ( which I find frustrating) has come at a good time however. Hope they won’t mull on the draw though!
3 draws and all of a sudden it's a disaster. Maybe this is our blip in a tough league? Still top of the league , not lost in how many? I was at the match and the second half wasn't great ,but many Sunderland fans are just miserable. Look at the positives. Every team below us would change places with us.

Please please please, get rid of O’Nien! How many goals does he have to cost us before people wake up? Yes, he’s a lovely lad. Yes, he gives 200%. But everything is last gasp because he’s a rubbish footballer!! Did Steve Bould ever have to launch into a last ditch challenge? No. Why? Because he read the game. O’Nien can’t do that!! We released Lyndon Gooch cos he wasn’t good enough. Can we please let O’Nien go now!!! If that 1st goal doesn’t happen, then the equaliser isn’t an equaliser. This loss of 2 points is on him!!!!
I feel ya. Almost every game there're corners where Onion is almost ripping a fella's shirt off contesting a ball, (basically cos he's too short). Today was no different; Onion dragging and pulling at a lad's shirt - should've been a penalty for them. He gives 110%, but because of his stature he has to foul people. Much better as a holding midfielder. Not a CB. Mepham and Ballard fit now, Onion out.
Everyone uses this guy as a scapegoat. Half the time those last ditch challenges are covering for teammates mistakes, without him we wouldn't be top, even with ballard and mepham, who he has always sweeped up for when they make their mistakes. Always o'nien's fault somehow?

Isidor has excellent technique. I think Connolly will come good. Shades of Micky Gray from Cirkin on that run and finish.
