This is absolutely my favorite one. Perfectly simulates real life too as we can imagine. Struggling and fighting all that way and grabs an advantage just to have that happen at the end 😂 love it
I didn't know why all people love this video so much. Bevor we startet the video we walk 10 km up to the mountain (850 meters of altitude). We were exhausted bevor the fight even started!
I love how un-epic most of this looks. Actual combat usually isn't "cool". When the combatants are of roughly equal strength and proficiency it's often messy and looks like to children at the playground shoving each other. Overall a nice display of "realistic" combat. At least as realistic as it can be without actually hurting the opponent.
@@dequitem I did not mean to make it sound mean^^ Maybe "uncinematic" would've been a nicer choice of words. No jumps, twirls, pirouettes etc. I prefer to look at your authentic sparring over marvel-style spear-twirling man-ballet any day of the week =D
@@ayonmetar2301 i think you got thing reversed and inverted. Jumps, twirls, pirouettes are unepic and clownesque, meanwhile this is the gritty, epic realistic stuff, with triumph and petty failure, just like in old story and various myth.
Exactly. Also I was going to make a joke about how this would have ended with somebody coming along with a musket but then at the end of the video he just pulls out a flintlock pistol. Amazing.
I am the one withe the brown cape on my helmet. I forge my armor by myself. My opponent buy his armor by a blacksmith from Czech Republic but he isn't fully happy with the shape!
@@dequitemyou should be proud of this armor! It’s fantastic. I have been researching stuff about making armor, I would like to get into blacksmithing myself. it’s a dream of mine to forge my own armor. What would you recommend i start forging for someone who has no experience with the tools?
I was looking for the distinction of why you put late medieval, besides the full plate, which granted is in most of your videos. Then the ending happened... 👏🎉👏
My strategy would be to focus on trying to trip them and prevent them from getting up and when there is an opening to smack over the head with the hammer. This is of course if I were in a real dual to the death.

"parry this you filthy casual!" -the knight with the pistol
Was not expecting that flintlock 😂
POV: you found the N’wah who stole your sweet roll.
N'wah??? Didn't know the word.
@dequitem it's from elder scrolls. N'wah is a dark elf derogatory term for the non elven races

It does not feel good to hear that its unepic, but you are totaly right, the sparring-duel against him felt unepic and rough.

Loved the whole thing, it looks exhausting. The ending, a masterpiece. The knight with the flintlock probably should have led with that move...

Interesting choice, but then you are open for thrusts to the visor. That's one of my main focused targets.
My thought the entire fight was "Just kick him at the right moment, there's been a lot of opportunities!"

With real weapons, how do you prevent serious injuries (like skull fractures). You guys bleed after battles sometimes?
Only small bruises. The weapons are dull.
More pistol duels

In which armor are you
The knight with brown helmet.
Wait, so what’s the difference between a halberd and polearm/poleaxe
The words mean the same, today we use these words separately to name two different axehead shape
