I have been trying for years to come up with a system that allows me to animate a coiled wire with jacks at each end. I want the jacks to control each end of the coil. Still no luck. Anyone have a tutorial out there that addresses this?
I have a lighting plugin I'm finishing up. It's pretty robust, which will allow you to achieve that same look as in the render. I'm planing on dropping it soon.
I’m really glad to know these tuts have helped so many people. Been working on a lot of custom products, including Cinema 4D resources and tools, among other things. As soon as those are ready, I’ll be coming back to make more tutorials. Probably another month.
Really well explained. Thanks! Would appreciate if you have time to make a tutorial with how you textured/rendered the scene in order to learn how you got to the final image in the tutorial thumbnail
Thank you! I'm finishing up a lighting plugin, which will help you achieve that same look and feel, which also includes textures, an HDRI light source, and fully customizable backdrops. Looking to drop it here soon.
Very Nice! I was wondering, how would you do it to transform a regular object into a slinky? Lets say if I wanted to make a coke can jumping down the stairs like a slinky? How would you made it?
This is a great question. I would need to reverse-engineer the process, but it’s certainly doable. Especially with a lot of the dynamic effects in C4D.
great tutorial, you theach really well! but I'm waiting the tutorial for the headphone jack and also for the lighting and materials... New subscriber and I'm waiting new tutorial soon :)
Great tutorial and it's easy to follow, but I want to know how to make the final model as shown in the thumbnail, so it's a little bit disappointing for me because I clicked the video to learn how to make the complete cable with the jack and all of its material and lighting. But hey, keep up the goodwork! :)
Thanks, Dee! As a matter of fact, there is. The render time takes a bit, so I'm working on a way to optimize that process as well. I'll be sure to upload the update once completed. Cheers!
I initially didn’t plan on doing a part 2, as it was intended to be more of a jumping off point. But enough people have asked for it, that I’ll put together a few more versions.
Learned things here that weren't shown in the tutorials from bigger channels, glad I stopped by. Keep up the great videos!
Cheers! Thanks, Nick!
love the recorded audio
very well talked through.
Cheers! Thank you!
Thank you! Any chance you could continue this tutorial and create the headphone jack as well please?

Nicely explained, thanks for the tutorial
My pleasure. Thanks for the kind words. 🙏🏽
for the headphone jack, my idea is to use an align to spline tag, but how would I account for the extra displacement caused by the spline wrap?
Excellent question. Per the request of some, I’ll be adding a tutorial to show how I finished the headphone Jack.
i mean "somebody might want this..." who Colorcubic :)
🤣 I mean… you never know 🤷🏽♂️
Wish you could do a tutorial on the coloring. Can't nail that look you made for the metal part.
