Minnesota is wrong. Minnesota doesn’t get tornadoes. Kansas has the most tornadoes.
No Mississippi has more than Kansas by a good margin

They may be talking about costliest or most lethal. Minnesota isn't exactly prepped for tornado activity, so when it does happen, no one is prepared.
Oklahoma and Mississippi tend to have more tornados than kansas

I lived in Nebraska over 10 years. Domestic violence is not an epidemic here. It's frowned upon. I will say that there are many false accusations being spread, and I know of a few cases where the woman was the batterer and aggressor. Least public corruption is somewhat accurate. Nebraska is also showing a sharp decline in marriages, and relationships. Men cannot afford them anymore.

I was born and raised in Southern California my whole entire life. I hate that it has so much air pollution, but I like that it is the safest for workers.
Once again on media, Oregon is categorized by what's happening in the small number of ultra-liberal counties (where the majority of the population lives). Most of the geographic area of Oregon is populated by conservatives and we're a lot different than those in the Portland-Salem metro area (and a few small college towns elsewhere).
Definitely makes me want to go to washington now.

My county has a population of less than 29000, and we have no less than seven incorporated pockets of "town" within said county, with an equal number of mayor's, alderman, police agencies, etc. The county government is the county's largest employer, with our police agencies being nothing more than revenue generating vultures that prey on those least equipped to fight back.
Starting a business? Great! Just pay your obligatory entrance fee and yearly dues to enter into the county's "partnership" that will allow you to operate and subsequently issue whatever licenses or permits that may be required.

As an Illinois resident I have a beef with your depiction of Illinois as the worst state for robbery. If you are talking the Chicago area and E St. Louis, yeah.But that comprises maybe 12 counties of 102. Illinois borders two states with lax gun laws, Missouri and Indiana. Both deep red states. St. Louis vies with Detroit for murder capitol of the U.S for the last decade or so, and Indiana's border city of Gary isn't much better. Same for South Bend.,
Maine has plenty of universities and the lowest crime of any state. it is definitely not dumb.

Don't know much about Maine, but "dumb" is ba-a-arely related to the level of education. A lot of doctors, lawyers and professionals are highly educated but make very poor day-to-day decisions.

Actually, Nevada is the best tax evasive state to register small businesses in due to the fact that it's the gambling capital of the country. It's not against the law to have a small business registered in Navada, but located somewhere else.
