Thanks for watching our breakfast tour in Kaohsiung! Next up is our SRI LANKAN food series! I can't wait to share it with you guys! :) Follow along here : instagram.com/chopsticktravel & facebook.com/chopsticktravel
Go to my uncle's Japanese restaurant in Taipei! It's called Ryori Nippon, Address: No. 11號1樓, Lane 240, Guangfu South Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106 :) pls do a review if you can!! Hope you guys like it!
As a hearing person, I think it's great that your channel has started including closed captions for not only your English speaking viewers, but for those from which county you have visited. The hard of hearing/deaf community is not only appreciative, but is a large group of people who seek out RUclips content the same as hearing individuals and its awesome that your channel is striving to be inclusive. I see your efforts and I commend them 👍🏼
What Sabrina and Luke succeed is doing is make us all aware that we really live parochial lives in our familiar environments and out there, there's world to explore and cultures to experience and people to meet, worlds without end, while all I know is how to get to Paddington Station.! Travel is the key. Travel and more travel. In a lifetime, you'll never be able to see it all, but, by golly, it's something worth a damn good try.! Since retiring I've been to 17 coutries in 20 years and I always want more. My bucket list includes Australia, New Zealand, Japan, all of South America and all of Eastern Europe and Russia. I've covered the rest. And Luke and Sabrina are right. Of course you go to see the museums and interesting places but to experience a country you do the street food, not the fancy restaurants. That lets you in to what the people are eating. The suits can keep their fois grass and duck breasts, I'll take tofu and stir-fry every time. More power to both of them. Nice young couple and people enjoy meeting them. They are the definition of 'Ambassadors of Goodwill.'
You're making wanna go to Taiwan man!! Such amazing cuisine. Very diverse and you can see the pureness of the food. Very friendly people as well. People like you make the world better Luke and Sabrina!!
After seeing a lot of your vids, it is clear that Taiwan is WAY cheaper to eat than Japan! If I ever get the money to travel, it's off to Taiwan for me!!!!😻
An indepth rich traditional flavour of Taiwan delicacies.🥢🍜The snacks that aroused my palate. The dessert that complements the sweet soft boba.Very stunning and enchanting river view that captures the viewers heart.Intriguing!!!🥳🖐
2:30 "carb overload" that sounds exactly like a typical Western breakfast :) when I'm eating shao-bing and/or yiu-tiao I always eat it with sweet soy milk. It's the perfect combo, the breads balances out the sweet, and the soy milk balances out the relatively dry shao-bing. Shao-bing yiu-tiao by themselves is too dry as a sandwich. If I want a sandwich I usually get the scallion pancakes with egg inside. The scallion pancake is not as dry. Ugh now I'm hungry for some Taiwanese food...
@@LukeMartin commented before finishing the video.. that 豆花 and 米糕 looks good. Definitely two of my favorites. Speaking of traditional, have you had 米糕 where the 筒 is actual bamboo? Probably hard to find now days, but the rice has a nice bamboo flavor, kind of like zhong-zi wrapped in bamboo leaves.
i really love the look of that last dish, with the rice and the meat. "Tong Zi Mi Gao-Tube Rice Cake" looks yummy. i dont think i'll eat it with the ginger tho.
Again your videos are wonderful and informative thank you. I’ll be there as of Tues 20th Aug so maybe I might bump into you and I’d love to treat you to dinner and you show me some places to go as a first timer lol
I would have loved the baos that Sabrina had, they looked awesome but don’t think I could take the next roll...the real dense one. Seems like it would sit in you stomach all day. What city do you guys live in?
They definitively hit some of the best and most famous places to eat in KHH. All in south KHH (and no North KHH representation) but that’s all good because the oldest and most established are in the south. One thing is the drone shots didn’t look like KHH. Maybe a district I’m not familiar with.
Manskickz, it's cheap and fresh too! Kaohsiung is where I'm from. I adore Luke and Sabrina exploring my part of the world and make me hungry every time I watch their blogs.
I’m in Taipei now and been here over a week and the food is just simply amazing. So many different types to try. There videos are so cool and yup I’ve been to the places they have and definitely agree with how cheap and tasty they all are 👍
The food looked so good. The boaza looking so scrumptious & juicy😍. The only way for me to get one here in Amish country is to make my own😢. I'm going to have to go shopping for the ingredients and make some now 🤗. Love your Vlogs & you guys keep up the great work. GB
Am I the only weirdo that my brain must read the subtitles even though I don't need to and then I miss out on all there is to see? I drive myself nuts!
Hi Luke and Sabrina,I hope everything is well with you guys, hello from Toronto! My partner and myself are planning for a trip in Taiwan on Jan.2020,Can yo7 please recommend any affordable ,nice, clean hotel to stay for at least four days and restaurants to visit and of course foods to try and places to go.I would appreciate any recommendations from you, thank you.
Julie Casugay You better hurry and decide. Besides New Year we also have Lunar New Year in January. Great time to visit but you know it’s gonna be packed with people traveling locally as well.
The two bread items would be OK if they had a jelly or something to put on them The noodles ...I''m all in it.... looked real good Not a fan of soft tofu.....the last dish looked good I'm surprised Luke didn't put any sauce on his dish? Excellent video of food and the sights...waiting for the next one
That "carb overload" of shaobing-youtiao 燒餅油條, combined w/ savory soy milk, is now the favorite breakfast item among some even non-ethnic-Chinese food critics in the U.S..
Tsai Chicken Silk Noodles and Tong Zi, my pick. and I paused you so many times to see how you hold the chopsticks LOL. I'm working on it, and I have to find a place here that sells those baskets they cook the noodles in they are nice.. Peace
Hahaha, Luke I guess you guys have become one of the tour guys! I think you guys should start charging people..... 😅😅😅😅. Just kidding. Rahadianto, bring enough of cash and a huge empty stomach, you will need it. Lol
Luke, Tou Hua has no flavor at all just like Tofu. as I recall when I was little. all the flavors comes from the soup and the toppings. btw, was the Tou Hua soup sugary and ginger flavor in the shop you went to?
I liked the video, as always, but the captions take up too much of the screen. Could you edit RUclips's automatic captions instead, so the text is there for people who need it but turn-offable?
It is very seldom that I comment on a video but I do for chasing a plate and chop stick traveler reason Is that when you try food you also give explanation about ingredients of dish and flavours and this thing shows that you have good knowledge about food which is missing in other so called street food video vlogs like mark wein and food rangers. Secondly you guys really explore street food or at least try to be in budget and show what masses eat and a traveller can afford. While other food review shows are doing high end touristy things with whole bunch of guides..i have visited some of the countries and I know how genuine food review you guys do
Omg Sabrina's arms look really sunburned... hope you're ok! You should try the mantou as a substitute for rice. They soak up all savory sauces really well and tastes better than just by itself
I love your channel and enjoy the content.however I suggest that u and Sabrina should order different variations of a dish instead of the same.a little taste test.
would you also mention how much it cost for each foods you bought and eat? also it would be more interesting if you mention the address for the places you visited. I think the audience might be interested in visiting and try them as well :-)
