I'll never forget seeing Bobby & the Midnights open for Hot Tuna. For an enchore Bob came out and sang White Rabbit. That was at Nassau coliseum October 28 1983.
This track really rocks! I'm only a decade shy of these guys, and they were my heroes (Grateful Dead, Airplane --> Hot Tuna) during those crazy years of the late 60's and early 70's. I'm long over the drugs and their delusions (as are the musicians -- if they were not, they'd be dead by now). But the music that they can still produce, when it's good, is still the best.
Wow! I loved Gary D's version of Hesitation Blues but Hot Tuna showed me what could be done with it.They never did anything wrong for me. This is outstanding! Never looked back. Thanks for posting
Jack Cassady - one of the greatest bassplayers ever. Played in Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna and on lots of albums - Jimi Hendrix Electic Ladyland f.eks. Look him up.

A Rat Dog and Hot Tuna tour would have been great.
