Sem dúvida, este para mim é um dos melhores médios do mundo, já era admirador dele quando este jogava no Sporting. Grande jogador, gostava que acabasse a carreira no Porto, mas se não o fizer, que vá para um grande clube como o Real Madrid, Barcelona,Chelsea ou Milan. Saudações Portistas.

I really hope Liverpool gets him, im portuguese and a Benfica fan but my favorite EPL club its Liverpool and Moutinho its one of the best midfielders around europe, just whatch his games on Euro. great talent,that deserves to go to a big EPL club, because hes already on a big club (Porto) but EPL its the dream of every player and Moutinho its one of the best.

Deves perceber muito de futebol para dizer isso. O Moutinho é a seguir ao C Ronaldo o melhor jogador da selecção Portuguesa e foi cobiçado no ano passado por clubes como o Barça, Tottenham, Chelsea, mas a cláusula de rescisão elevada (40m€) impediram que ele saísse do Porto. Em três anos ele ganhou 8 títulos pelo Porto e foi sempre o jogador mais importante.

I'm not going to say the typical.. 'WELCOME TO MAN UNITED!!' Until a signing has been confirmed on the club's website..Also it looks like Spurs are interested in him too, and with AVB there now, that might only encourage him to join them.

What you have won means little to moutinho compared to what you will win in the span of his career, which is comparatively little compared some of the big clubs (if things stay as they are now) so I can see the uniteds/chelseas/bayerns being very appealing.
What euro did you watch ? Modric was one of the best playmakers at euro ,to play good doesnt mean to score goals,did you saw that asist against spain to Rakitic unfortonatly he didn't score but it was a great pass.For me he was the Croatians best player on Euro ,and i'm from Croatia :)

look at modric's stats...they're underwhelming as well...its the pass before the pass we're looking for..the genuine playmaking ability.
i really dont think so coz MOUTINHO is the most briliant playmaker i know (par with iniesta) and he is inprescendible in Portuguese team ! 40 milions euros is not that much

Modric isn't an attacking midfielder at all, he simply doesn't score enough goals to be regarded as that, and he didn't play that position at Spurs (VDV did).

You can't say he is better than Cabaye, Cabaye has proved himself to be a very good player because he has been amazing in the Premier League...wait until Moutinho plays in the Premier League then you can say who is a better player

I agree with you that moutinho and modric dont fall into the same category but im comparing them as at tottenham he is seen as being the replacement for modric so its obvious why im comparing them and also its impossible to judge a player solely by his performances in a tournament, just look at van persie as proof of that.
About CHelsea I gotta say they won the CL last year probably the time they least deserved it was a miracle they were even lucky to beat Benfica in the quarter finals not to mention the semis and the final, and this year again very lucky to win Europa League.
But of course they have the money they can buy anyone and next year maybe theyll have a great team again...and of course better than Tottenham :S

How is this guy not playing for a club like United
he did say it - i read it last week on sky sports in england - moutinho said he thinks that villas boas is a great manager and he would love to play for him again and said he would like to play in the premier league - tottenahm will sell luka modric to madrid for 40 million soon and tottenham then will use the money to buy moutinho for 35 million
my club looked at Modric, before Spurs and said he wasn't good enough ;)

Well where is your Portuguese website that says we offered 40 million euros? and a desinteresting club? We are one of the top sides in the best league in the world? Okay we haven't go Champions League football but we were damn close and this year I'm sure we have another great chance of securing it
You got your wish :) 28M euros wasn't enough, going on other transfer fees for similar players. But the fee wasn't the issue, it was personal terms. I'd have thought we'd have paid him whatever he wanted after getting him for that price. That's our Chairmans problem, he wants everything on the cheap.

Yes mate, i understand you, i would prefer to see Moutinho in a TRUE football club like Man United with a lot of history and reputation, than a club like City, which hasnt history and hasnt trophies. Yea mate, he is aiming himself to replace Xavi, that is why he did not want to sign up with Tottenham Hotspurs. I think he should sign up with Spurs, at least as a first step.

I think its going to be more of a personal decision, if he wants to leave he'll leave there's no doubt big clubs can offer more money, he does seem to have quite a personal attachment to porto though.

Ronaldo would've been a superstar regardless of Man Utd, he just wouldn't have been noticed so quickly in Sporting, but put him in AC Milan, Madrid, PSG, Bayern and he would've been a superstar just like he was in Man Utd.
Anderson was much better in Porto than he is now, he was more of an attacking force, he just seems lost nowadays... Moutinho is just fine in Porto if you ask me.

why are you comparing modric to moutinho..moutinho is a box to box midfielder and modric is an attacking midfielder. modric was dissapointing at the euros altough croacia has a fantastic team
