- Always thought the animation here was really cool but the only version online was in poor quality. Was hoping this would get a higher quality release on the Discotek blu-rays but this particular trailer was omitted.

Cyborg 009 Is Not An Anime--It's A Life Lesson! :D
Man it’s so weird seeing these alternate designs and NOT having them used in the actual show. And what I mean by that is like the Mythos cyborgs, one of them is literally Leo from Jungle Emperor but that design is nowhere to be seen in the actual show.
Also that CGI. Good lord as I glad they didn’t use any in the show
ALSO also BOY am I glad they changed 008’s design because WHEW boy is that unfortunate
Speaking of Pyunma’s design, I’m surprised they used his old design from the 60s here when Ishinomori himself addressed the issue in 1992 and changed Pyunma’s design to something less offensive.

Sounds to me like a swipe at the 1968 and 1979 series.
Yet Shotaro Ishinomori died a few years before this series premiered, so how does the narrator know for sure?
I don't think that's it. There have been recent incarnations of 009 that feature more lifelike, "modernized" versions of the characters.
I found that strange too but if you’d read the manga, you’ll see that the anime drew inspiration from mostly the first volume of the manga (while also taking some one-shot chapters from the 80s run of the manga and using them as filler episodes).
This anime version remains my favorite and the best introduction to the manga and franchise. Everyone who worked on this did a great job!
It's funny, currently watching this on Crunchyroll because I was watching a Toonami broadcast from back in the day and core memory unlocked.

またアニメ化の話もあるだろうし、その時はできればイージーに妥協しないで、決定版にしたいなという気がするね。

This was the promotional trailer for the 2001 anime version of Cyborg 009.
You can watch dubbed or subbed episodes on RUclips. It’s an awesome show and you can later go to the manga (which ran from the 60s to the 80s and the final one in 2012).
I cant the reason, why they dont make a remake from this series and giving a proper ending after the manga finish some years ago?
What are you talking about? The anime ended like the original ending in 1968 did of the manga.
