My brother owned a 1968 GTO it was triple black we called it the Monster 👹 he beat up on 900 and 1000 kawasaki 's from a dead stop beat them by 3 car lengths thru the quarter mile 455 bored 474, 410 gears in the rear with a close pattern 4- speed with ladder bars torker eldebrock high rise intake with a 850 holler double pumper. It was a beast. This was in the late 70's early 80's. Priceless memories..
Wow Mike, Love the show and the car's you picked especially the Hot Wheels firebird but just a bunch of cool idea's and cool Pontiac Car Owners . Glad you had no leaks on the way there and hopeful you made it home safely. Thanks for filming and sharing.
Thanks John! Yeah, I'll be doing more interviews in the future... frankly, running out of projects on the GTO, ha, ha.... trip home sucked. Took 3.5 hours, in 25mph traffic. But, no leaks, no overheating! Horrray! Thanks again.
@@johnkennedy8452 Yeah, I know how it works... it can be dificult, depending on the type of car, pump, and reservoir. It's best to try and find someone who has the identical set up you have, but with hydro boost. Of course, I can help answer questions.
Man!! 😍😍 that Brewster green trans am!! And that LS swapped 67 Firebird! Damn! Beautiful! And the custom touches he put on it is sweet! I bet that thing handles and moves like a dream! The 69 trans am spoiler looks amazing! A lot of people don’t realize that a 69 trans am spoiler won’t look right on a base 67-68 Firebird. Great job on that car! The vents in the rear fenders look incredible as well.
I wish I had known about the show, I would have dragged the '68 Goat out and had a chance to meet you. I love old Pontiacs. My father's first car was a beautiful '59 Safari staion wagon in a medium light green with a white roof. We loved that old car. Takin' the Pantera out tomorrow. See you soon.
I seen you getting low to see how straight that nightshade green 68 bird was. For some reason Mike I keep thinking you’ve done some auto bodywork/painting in your lifetime. I do the exact same thing when I’m looking at a car. I still do bodywork to this day. I love doing it.
Cool show, I have seen that port injected gto before at the tiger run. If I recall the injection system was called tiger efi. I have pictures of my dad racing this car in Madras Oregon with his 474 67 lemans at the tiger run. Fun times, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Bane... yeah, my understanding is the owner made that himself, 30+ years ago? I think he's a former Aerospace Engineer. Too awesome. Thank you for sharing too... see ya!
Thanks John! Too funny, yeah, I do have a tendency to stick to the mid-sized A Bodys... I'll definitely keep an eye out for more Aircraft Carriers, just for you! Ha, ha... Thanks again!
@@jsslifelike I hear you... I too get carried away with talking to people, instead of filming. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it... ha, ha... Thanks for the comment!
Nice cars! Nice people! Good Times!🙂 I’ll be glad to get my car back on the road! Finally found a set Howard’s max effort roller lifters, being shipped! Sorry to say I’m not too confident driving my car outside of city limits unless I travel Roadkill style with parts, tow truck and crew behind me! Haha!😝🔧💰🍕
Great question, Philip! It stands for New Old Stock. That means when they restored the car, they found OLD Emblems, that were never used. Basically mint condition. Which fit better than newer re-manufactured emblems, from China, etc... Thanks for asking!
Going to have to get you a 'bird now as a new project, now that you've just about got the GTO complete. (just make sure you're out to dinner with the wife before ya spring it on her!)
That's a GM LS from a Later model Pontiac. No big deal. I would still get a 6.0 engine from the junkyard. Still a GM. That's only if the car is a roller without an engine and trans at time of purchase.

Another awesome video and really cool to get an in depth interview of a life-sized Hot Wheels car. Good to hear no leaks either, hope that continues.
Thanks! Yeah, I love that build! (Agreed about no leaks, for life, ha ha)

Beautiful cars there. Love seeing all the ideas other folks have incorporated into their builds. Awesome video Mike!

great vid. awesome birds
For sure! Had a great time! Thanks!
Pontiac people are the best people!!!
Ha! For sure. But, we might be biased. 😉
I'm pretty sure that 1 off port fuel injection was in a magazine. Maybe HPP? I recall reading about it.
It was indeed! The magazine was sitting on the dash, or seat, or somewhere... very cool, especially for way back when. Thanks for the comment!
@@FastMonty That is pretty cool you got to see. That article came out a long time ago, before there were any fuel injection options.
@@rohrt1 Yeah, crazy it was like 30 years ago? Way before any muscle cars thought of fuel injection, let alone port injection. Amazing.
Nice cars! Woulda been nice to hear from the guy that did that custom carbon fiber intake.
I agree! I have no idea who the owner is... I'm sure I'll run into that car again, and get that interview in the can. Thanks Roy!
Lots of sweet cars
Yup, wish I had more time... thanks!
That first black Firebird was a 68… parking lights in the corner, no vent window.
Yup, good call. Thanks!
Pretty wild. My name is also Josh and I also have a pontiac Chieftain ,but mine is a 1951 2 door
Ha! That's crazy coincidence. thanks for sharing!
Great interviews Mike
Thanks Brian! That was fun... hope to do more.
67 firebird has vent windows
Thanks Ronald!
Cool Pontiac’s.

Loved this! Where's the full-size love at this show? I saw the '64 GP and a '62 in the background. I need to see deck lids like aircraft carriers!

Thanks Xander... the Black Bird? Yeah, it's a 68, isn't it?
No’s comment on badging and trim, what does this refer to? Trying to figure out badging on my 1968 Firebird convertiable

Black over Red Firebird emblem a 1968 only?
