This is the type of Saint I would like them to be portrayed as. A friend, a kindness, a loving person, a being who would always give something a chance to decide whether they want to ascend. But the community doesn’t make them evil, but more like a mechanical being with only one order: free all from the everlasting cycle
I like all of the different interpretations of Saint. Yes, they could be a benevolent, sweet creature, forced to roam the world until some other, more powerful being manages to ascend them, but they could also be unkind, perhaps driven mad by the amount of cycles. They could also be seen as not-all-there, a mindless drone only to be used, and used, and used, until it can be used no longer.

Such a cool concept! Even how Artificer smiles when the ascension x thing gets pointed at her. And Saint’s story is pretty sad then, because he can never get back to her.
this made me cry.. oh god.. my heart😭 he truly is a saint.. you somehow depicted so well saints compliance to arti and the loneliness that came afterwards. but they too look calm and collected with their actions. as if they knew they did them a favor, and trying not to be sad. idk thats just my interpretation, regardless you really captured a certain feeling with these frames and it hit right in the heart
Ngl, I have a theory that Artificer IS Saint. Hear me out. Artificer's situation is completely unique, to the point of even slightly surprising Pebbles, a being who has been here for likely millenia. Nobody even really knows what happens after normal ascension, but Artificer simply seems to cease to exist. It would make sense if she was turned into an echo, and we just don't see it. Now take Saint, a being unable to eat meat or throw spears, being the polar opposite of Artificer in every way. Not to mention, two different eye colors, potentially one eye being a regenerated missing one. Artificer hated everyone basically, traumatized many creatures, and then was revived in the time of most need to free them all from the trauma she caused. Not sure whether or not she'd have the memories of being Artificer, but I do genuinely love that theory.
